Sounderfan : Keep up the good work! I just moved to Seattle from NY, and have enjoyed your posts to help get me up to speed. God knows this city deserves a team more than NY/NJ does. I worked the Metrostars games for MLSNET.com this season (before my move) and it was thoroughly depressing to see 2-3000 people tops for most games. How they are going to fill up a new stadium is beyond me. Still, Giants stadium and how NJSEA treated fans may have been a factor, and hopefully was the deciding factor in the patheticness of Metrostars attendance. A factor that will go away once Harrison opens. Back to Seattle: The couple of Sounders games I've seen were far greater attended in numbers, and far far far greater attended in terms of passion. It's sad that Seattle has everything for an excellent MLS franchise except for a deep pocketed owner. I think it will happen here someday. And it will be a beautiful thing. Until then, Seattle belongs firmly in this forum.
Most of the postings here have nothing to do with Seattle and MLS. Most are around the current USL-1 franchise. Not saying kill the board, put let's keep the focus correct.
Fair comment about the USL... but then again, the USL club going up or Hanauer being the one to bring MLS here is probably the only way it's going to happen. There's absolutely frickin' no one else around here who's had the money or inclination to invest in MLS. LMoroney: welcome to Seattle dude! We'd love to see you in 113 with the supporters group. Think I have a scarf with your name on it
