Hey, I just put down my payment to reserve 4 season tickets (no, not the actual seats, but the right to get choice on seats (West Side, 10-20 rows up, roughly midfield - I HOPE!!).

So, as a roll call, who else has put the $33 down to reserve a seat?

I've know of probably another 10 or so that will be getting reserved over the next few days... Let's see if there are people on BigSoccer who actually put their money where their mouths are! :D :p

    Amen.

I'll have my downpayment in by the end of Oct. Maybe by the end of Sep if my ex-wife and two children don't have any little "emergencies" this month.

I put in for a couple last week.
Now, I'm thinking maybe I need 4. (Ouch!)

I'm still not sure where to get my seats. I want the good seats (right next to aosthed), but the games are a lot more fun when I'm able to join the supporters/Loyalists.

We'll have to see who's kicking in to help with the seats. :D

Just so you guys know, there is another thread where the Loyalists are discussing where the Supporters section will be.
    http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=139289
Right now it looks like the East side sections, but the Loyalist leadership meet with SLC MLS today, so hopefully there will be decision.
aosthed, looks like you might have to walk over to the supporters section!

Sorry aosthed, but I’ll be sitting (or should I say ‘standing’) with the Loyalists. Now need to make any moves right now since my seats are already decided.

Since supporter's groups are usually located in less desirable seating areas, stadiums will typically let you stand in the supporter's section, regardless of where your assigned seat is.

So with that, I would select a seat location that you would like to sit in, on those days when you may not want to stand with the Loyalists.

Hey, I love the supporters - I love the Loyalists...

But as of now, I'm not in the club, and shade sounds really nice (plus, I don't really dig standing for 2 hours - the yelling isn't a problem).

Besides, a buddy of mine has held West Ham season tickets for 20 years and he doesn't sit in the supporter's section... He and I kind of view it as the STADIUM is the supporter's section.

If the USMNT had a clue, they'd begin scheduling World Cup Qualifiers in Salt Lake - It'll be one venue that they are actually cheered by the majority of the crowd!!! Sure, we got people with ties to other countries (Sweden for me), but we friggin' sold out 2 USWNT games. I'm sure we can take care of the boys too...

aosthed, I am just glad you bought your tickets (Reserved, sorry).
You can always wander over and yell with the rest of the Loyalist clowns!!
    Good times!

ARRRRGGGG!!!! My company can't decide if they are going to send me to Vegas or leave me here. If i'm staying I need to get in on my tickets (next to aosthed :) ), but i'm still in limbo. Even if they move me I'll still have to road trip it back to support our club.

    More good news!

I know of another 3 guys who are considering getting tickets... I'll keep pestering them and with some luck, they'll be sitting next to me and my brothers come game time!

So far, I'm feeling good about the new franchise (despite the Real scare - MAY IT NEVER COME TO PASS). Steve Pastorino has seemed pretty smart from the interviews/articles I've read about him and I think he was a good move. Ellinger will hopefully be a good selection (only time will tell)...

I don't even care if they don't win a lot their first season - just make them go and play hard FOR THE WIN. Steve, if you're reading this, there is NO relegation so make Ellinger play fast paced, attacking soccer (who cares if we lose a little - just get goals... learn how to play defense in 2006)! You can be forgiven for losing, but not for being boring. :D

I think that against most CONCACAF teams, Salt Lake would be a good venue to get home town support, but as the Salt Lake area has a steadily growing population of residents who have come from Mexico, we should avoid playing them in Salt Lake (in qualifiers anyway, I think a friendly match against Mexico would be very fun and pack the stadium). When the Blitzz played the second division team from Tijuana a few years ago, the crowd was largely cheering for the visitors.

I got my reservation in. I intend to be in the Supporters section, with my drum. And I'll even bring Face Paints with me, if anyone wants them.

Any word on the number of deposits on seats? This unwhelming response makes me a little nervous.

I don't believe that it is required to post in this thread if you reserve tickets.

For what it is worth, I'm going to sell more season tickets than the front office will! I just want them to send me my commission check on time... Hear that Steve? ;)

I'm talking to a lot of people I play soccer with or have played soccer with - I play with a group of guys every Saturday (and sometimes Tuesday). We are about 30 guys in total and I think most of them will get tickets (and those who do will likely get more than 1). I've played on club/school teams growing up and I'm even reaching out to those guys... it's going to be fun! My goal is to have 100 seats together (the biggest problem I've got is I want good seats and not everyone wants to pay for the good ones).

My company might be 2-4 tickets to give away to employees and such and those will be next to me...

The only thing Steve Pastorino has to do for me is put a good a team/coach on the field that is FUN to watch (and hopefully not give them a stupid name like REAL)!

    VIVA Salt Lake City SC!!!
