Damn, I thought you were going to say Schindler. I know it is a stretch, but a random question... Any chance Wannenwetsch could be shifted back to CB from CDM? Not even sure he could play the spot. Clearly he is no Javi Martinez.
This is always an interesting time when their is little discussion of the actual games (finally won one). Who will be the new cheftrainer? I found this when searching for another 1860 story (an English fans goes to see 1860 at Allianz and writes about it in his local paper): http://www.torquayheraldexpress.co.uk/Wafting-waft/story-20971877-detail/story.html
Seems Koeln has Stark and Osako on their list after taking Halfar. http://www.tz.de/sport/1860-muenche...n-spielern-des-tsv-1860-muenchen-3499588.html
It's just the usual. We have them all under contract and will get money for them. That's not a problem.
No of course, the problem is continually losing talent. Particularly Osako, who is the kind of player I would have loved to have seen Sechzig hold on to for a push to promotion.
Look at BVB. Even they are losing players. Only the top teams know they can keep the players they attract. It is a fact of modern football which fans need to understand. Is it a shame? Sure. Does it piss you off? Absolutely. But there is nothing 1860, nor all but the richest clubs can prevent.
I know you know all that. I think there are some fans that don't. The way I figure it is the club is FINALLY in a place where we are financially stable with decent management and funding. We need to now change our player base and slowlyg build up. This will infuriate the typical 1860 fan, but they need to have patience. I think the biggest problem is that the younger 1860 fans only remember the club being in the BL, so they are overly impatient about getting back there. Those of use old enough to have lived through the last two relegations know this is a marathon and not a sprint. We are FAR better off this time around. Yes we just fired a coach (again, again), but we are taking positive steps -- albeit baby steps -- in the right direction. Zen patience. Tao of Leadership. The calm pool. Ummmmmmm.
Man, I am trying to follow the "middle way" on this stuff, but damn if they don't make it a challenge.
Patience yes! But in the mean time I will be cheering for Bayern to get a couple goals back next meeting in Munich against Real Madrid. Because like it or not! I am a Bavarian, and if 1860 continues to suck I will make myself feel better cheering for the rich boys of Munich.
I cannot do that. I was hoping for an instantaneous black whole to form and suck both teams in to oblivion.
They played ok. Fuerth was off...way off. Overall a decent game but the defense again looked vulnerable on counters.
And hey, look at that, still in the black hole that is the middle of the table. Oh well, maybe next term.
Not sure if I want Osaka to start scoring again. I want him with us in the next season after all. Anyway, nice goal and nice hats
I agree. Especially in the second half ... so your guys deserved the last-minute win thanks to a brave finish (being the better team in the last 15 minutes). Btw: The 1860 supporters seem to be huge smoking fans. http://www.directupload.net/file/d/3604/evxn9oaj_jpg.htm http://www.directupload.net/file/d/3604/b4fk42hl_jpg.htm
