new info on the jerseys is that the away will be more "anthracite" like the whole new collection seems to be. http://www.tsv1860-shop.de/ I think I need to get this hoodie: .

Pretty amazing stat...we went a whole season with ZERO PKs called in our favor. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...nder-nummer-eins.html#omrss_team_1860muenchen
Im not surprised at all given our "we try to carry the ball forward as slowly as possible" type of playing.
I do not know if anyone has posted this but I was curious so I looked. DFB Pokal match on August 2nd at 1. FC Heidenheim. 1.FCH is a good 3.BL team so, while 1860 should win, it is tougher than most other teams. Malura is on 1.FCH. The battle of the managing Schmidt's (Frank v. Alexander) means that this thread title will be 100% correct that day.
As with happens in most games where ex-Loewen play, Malura will score in the 89th min to lift his club past 1860.
LoewenBoy Id like to hear your opinion on Stark. The other day I heard of friend who's been to several training sessions in the last weeks that Stark might be the best player we had in the last 5 years. "Übersicht, Stellungsspiel, Balleroberung, Spielmacher, guter Schuss."
To be honest I know only of what I have seen of him against us. He appears to have that holding DM style of play that Makos was showing before his injury last August. You know, the old-style Libero skills that guys like Der Kaiser and Stielike had where they could cooly hold the ball, ball nice through passing or make probing runs up the middle or across field and then deliver a surgical pass foward. I had hoped that Makos would show more of this, but he became yet another in a long line of DMs who are too timid to cross midfield or pass back more than our CBs do. Internally I am hearing they are VERY happy with Stark but are trying to down play how good he is so that media pressure stays low. He and Wannenwetsch seem to have developed a close pairing which would be cool to see if Stahl does not have a break out year. Like Schindler, I think Stahl has had enough chances to impress beyond the mediocre. If he does not step up this year I would not cry if those two left the club in favor of Stark/Wannenwetsch getting more playing time. Lastly, rumors are Feick wants to go to Aue but you-know-who wants to keep him around.
For what? The only explanation I see is that Feick somehow plays the 2nd or 3rd leftback option part. Like Schmidt says he installed competetion within the team for the first time. First victim: Lauth.
We will see. Personally I think the front office will pressure him to play Lauth regardless. I see Friend-Lauth being used too much and Bobby and Hain not getting enough playing time.
Hinterberger tends to bow to fan pressure as does Schmidt. I see them preferring Lauth and Friend, then subbing Hain for Lauth. I think Bobby is odd-man out unless Friend and Lauth screw up big time or get injured. Just my suspicion. Frankly, I think we'd be better of with Lauth-Wood or Friend-Wood with Hain coming in at the 60th to keep pressure up front.
Lost 0-3 today. Line-up was clearly a test as was clearly the formation. Using a 4-2-3-1 but having Lauth as the recessed striker?? I heard that Schindler and Feick got abused and Geipl was in over his head. 1860: 1 Kiraly - 35 Schwabl, 26 Schindler, 4 Bülow (46., 5 Vallori), 27 Feick - 25 Geipl, 20 Wannenwetsch - 28 Halfar, 11 Lauth, 14 Tomasov - 23 Wood.
Yeah, probably. But I guess last season finally cost Lauth his sacrosanct status. So far, I dont see the media or the fans calling for Lauth. I think as of today most fans consider Lauth to be what he is - a diva. Like Halfar. The same as with Bierofka, only a few will shed a tear. For now. No. No test with the formation. You know the internet guy there has no clue. Az and tz both say Lauth and Wood together up front in Schmidt's 4-4-2. But it was the B team(apart for Bülow and Vallori) though.
