The Eibsee Hotel. Bus runs right out there.

I used to live about a 15 minute walk from the Stadion am Groben. Damn. I do miss GAP at times.

LB, will send you a private message soon. Looks like we might be in your area on 12 October.

Today, AS managed our team to a 1-3 defeat to Regensburg. After the game he said, we did not convert our opportunities. Really? Nothing wrong with our defense when you're down 0-3 at half-time to a 3rd liga team?

AS is the most dangerous clown since, well..... since "Der Clown".

Well, looking at the line up I see a few things. First, he seems to be going with a 4-4-2. Second, Hertner is clearly a guess on the LB position...not good. Experiment Schindler should be done by now...he does not belong starting anywhere on this team. I would have preferred to see Schwabl at LB to see what he can do. Feick...meh.

    1860 München - SSV Jahn Regensburg 1:3 (0:3)

    1860: 1 Kiraly - 2 Volz, 5 Vallori, 26 Schindler, 17 Hertner - 19 Adlung, 29 Stark, 6 Stahl, 10 Stoppelkamp - 16 Hain, 11 Lauth.
    Ersatz: 22 Netolitzki (Tor) - 4 Bülow, 9 Friend, 18 Neumeyer, 20 Wannenwetsch, 23 Wood, 27 Feick, 28 Halfar, 35 Schwabl.
Wechsel: Bülow für Schindler (46.), Wannenwetsch für Stahl (46.), Friend für Lauth (46.), Halfar für Adlung (54.), Wood für Stoppelkamp (54.), Schwabl für Voölz (65.), Feick für Hertner (65.).

I havent watched it either but as I hear all goals fell down Volzys side and Hertner made all in all a good performance. So what is wrong with Hertner? I mean Im willing to give the boy much more time to learn. Im sure he's going to make one or another mistake next season. But thats okay. It's his first pro-season. On the other hand Feick wont learn it anymore in his old days. Buck 2.0. Agree on Schindler, he seems to be the loser of season prep so far which is not good as I wish he would put pressure on Bülow and Vallori.

Schwabl, I fear, has no left foot. But again in the RB spot seemed to be better than Volzy.

After 40-something years as a fan and nearly 20 kits, it is hard to get excited about any kit at first glance. I was not in favor of last year's home kits but they grew on me. I waited too long and could not get one and had to settle for an away kit. Not bed either. Wore it yesterday and had several offers to buy it off me for $80. ;)

The away? A soccer shirt? Of a largely unknown team? In Texas?

    Go figure.

Guess a not-Barca/ManUnited soccer shirt is just something special.

Oddly enough where I live there is more soccer than american football. There is a field near my house that has 26 fields, all with very well kept Bermuda grass. Like playing on a putting green. There are more people playing soccer than any other sport combined here. Go out to dinner and you see West Ham, Anderlecht, HSV and other kits all over. The guys in the brew pub on father's day were dying for the shirt....one of them a Bayern fan. That's typical of soccer afficiandos in the US....they collect kits like shieks collect wives.:sneaky:

That is most certainly not an easy first 5 games. If we can take 9-11 points out of these games we could very well be at the top of the table. If we take 7-9 points from these games I still think that is respectable. If we take 5 points or less -- which is possible with "Captain Unentschied" -- then we are in for a (another) very long season.

But cmon, the sooner we get rid of AS the better right?

And I dont necessarily agree that these are 5 hard games to play. 6 pts out of the two home matches and drawing St. Pauli and Schwalbendorf away should be possible. Paderborn, well it is Paderborn.....

Yes, but I don't see that happening until we are back in the shitter. If 1860 is not in the upper mid-table by late October, Schmidt (and possibly Schaefer) will be celebrating Martinstag at the Arbeitsamt.

FSV have made some nice moves and will be tough. FC Audi have Kurz who knows our club well and if there is anything that history has taught us, former players know just how to beat us. Pauli's plummet last season was a mirage...that will not happen again. Duesseldorf I don't know about....they could be strong or they could fall apart, but am betting on the former. As for Paderborn, we have only beaten them ONCE in the last SEVEN matches. We are 1-1-5 against them...that's why I think it will be a tough match.

Got to love this little tool...

My prediction is, cause the press and the fans already have started giving AS the counts last season, he's gonna be out by only 1 win out of the first 5 or 6 games. So by Octoberfest time. The questions will be just how big the public pressure is. Schäfer and Hinterberger surely will try to keep him aslp.
But that was under **** Meier.[/QUOTE]

    FTI? BMW?

I have a friend who will be in Munich this week and is going to stop by the 1860 downtown shop for me (most likely). Any suggestions? How does the Euro Large fit (I can go Ameri Medium as well) on the away jerseys?

The old away kit is a steal. The new kit will not be in shops until after 7/1.
