No serious 1860 fan above the age of 12 would allow themselves to even think about promotion right now. Anyone who lived through and remembered the seasons from 2005-2010 knows how fast a Rueckrunde lead can evaporate and put us in a relegation struggle. Now, if we ever have 36-40 points by Xmas, then sure, I might allow myself a brief statement or two about the possibility of promotion. That or a 20 point lead.
No, but we weren't last season either. Frankly I like the 4-1-4-1. I think we could kill with that. We just need people who are not lazy in defense. Losing Fathi does not help. Biero, God love him, is not a DM.
Alright, I will bite... So if you are looking at a possible 4-1-4-1, what would you offer as a proposed starting XI?
Trikot News... Or should I say, no news. In years past there were always HUNDREDS of posts in the trikot thread with at least a dozen guesses as to what the new kits would look like. This year? Nada. Zip. Zilch. The link to the article says that FTI, Mini and a few other former sponsors are "out" of the running. While 1860 is saying the reason is that "the time was not right" or making other excuses, what I am hearing is that many companies are not trusting of how 1860 mgmt deals with sponsors and makes business decisions in light of how Ismaik was treated. Many in the business world saw Ismaik -- seen as a reputable business man -- bringing a sense of order and transparency to how 1860 does business. Now that the marketing rights have been taken back in house, companies are less trusting again...as they should be. The article also says the home kit will be more "weiss/blau" like historical kits, the away kit will be more "exotic" as in the past and there will be a third "emergency" kit. Other than the fact it will be on Uhlsport, no insight in to which template will be used. The club DID say, a while back, that the shirts would be ready on July 1st...but that was a month back and now that we are three weeks out with no firm sponsor (again), I HIGHLY doubt they will be ready before mid-July at the earliest. Business as usual at 1860.
I am not afriad, but it will be 2009 all over again. At some point it all begins to feel like this...
German movie titles are so right on the money sometimes..... the whole situation reminds me of this A little less conversation, a little more action please All this aggravation aint satisfactioning me A little more bite and a little less bark A little less fight and a little more spark....
I am married with kids. I have seen stuff that would make water-boarding a Gitmo look like pizza and beer with the guys.

Great place to play a game. Go for the day. Take the Seilbahn up to the Zugspitze, hike down, have a few biers and an early dinner and then go to the game. There is a hotel on Eibsee that is pretty reasonable and has great views in the summer of the lake.
Thanks guys, I am in Schliersee so it will be a very reasonable day trip. cannot imagine a better place to watch a soccer match. Now to see if I can talk the wife into a little vacation inside of our vacation.
Well, I dont know if there's an English equivalent to Gerhard Polt's saying "We wont take our wifes with us on this trip, cause you know, we want to have fun." Yeah, or maybe you go for Mittenwald and go up for a short trip to Lautersee. and then on the way back to Mittenwald you can visit the famous Wolpertinger-Museum.
