I can only comment on th elast 15 minutes or so
It got really dirty---4 yellow cards in 10 minutes:eek:
    asamoah scored and
    Farfan scored on a penalty
from the last instances I could tell Magath wanted to put high pressure on Frankfurt
    and it worked

Looks like we were too hasty in sending Asamoah out to pasture. He showed you why Magath likes him so much today. Good win.

Well ill take my comment back and eat my words but,
he showed himself in the past seasons as mediocre(scored roughly 43 goals in 247 appearances) for a forward thats not really great
but it seems magath has confidence in him so, best he play with confidence than none
oh and alot of draws and upsets today should open up the table a bit
Leverkusen & Hamburg have not lost and sit in 1st and 2nd
    we are in third

    Today is his 31st birthday!

Considering the weak offense, I am feeling pretty good about being 4 points out of first place going into the qualifier break.

Here are his overall Germany stats:

    http://www.fussballdaten.de/spieler/borodjukalexander/

He was just a bit before my time, but my long-time fan friend says he was a strong player that helped get the team back into the 1.Bundesliga in the early 90s, but was showing his age by the time they got there.

    Good win vs Struttgart
I only saw most of the second half
but Struttgart deserved to equalize and moments later Kuranyi scored
Strutt almost made 2-2 and started to pressure on us
we did manage to win 2-1 but it was a tight one
even magath wasnt too happy how close it was since he wanted the team to control the ball more and keep pocession
oh yeah, rakitic scored the 1st goal and it was a cracker!!!!!

There were a few scary moments in the 2nd half, but overall it was a FINE performance in a place where Schalke hadn't gotten 3 points in 10 years!

One more question Schalke fans this time about Kenia. Has he been playing for you guys at all ? Do you have any opinion on the player ? He's supposed to be a major major talent from what I've heard.

with the rotation of the squad he doesnt get alot of playing time, however he did play last weekend, he does play well with Westerman and Holtby(who is another talented player)

btw how old is Milos Krasic, and how long is his contract?

Krasic is 25, I'll have to get back to you on his contract status but I don't see him going to Germany unless Bayern come calling.

hopefully we become like arsenal, buys cheap then sells high:D
and full of talent, its a good way to run a club however arsenal havent won anything recently......

anyways next match is agains Hamburg who are playing pretty well and are 2nd, however we might beat them since they are probably tired from the europa league

Defensively, schalke 04 are playing very well. I know things don't turn around over night but does Magath have intentions of working on improving the attacking part of your team's game eventually?

his getting there, there were glimpses of good solid attacks vs Strutgart but then as soon as we started winning we went back to playing defense for like 40+ minutes, Rakitic, Kenia, Holtby, Westerman, Asamoah and Farfan all participate in attack which is good but other times we play 9 men behind the ball and one solo attacker(which is lame, reminds me of Bordeaux)hmmm you look familiar, Bordeaux fan? or Inter?

I enjoy Bordeaux a little but I wouldn't say they put everyone back. As for Inter, I don't like them.

Yeah, It will be nice when they can play that solid defense yet always be capable of a solid attack or at least counter attack.

It is something that I like for most part about the Bundesliga as it has a lot of good attacking clubs compared to some other Euro leagues that could put you to sleep on a weekly basis.

just an off topic question I ask all football supporters. when you get new kits do you get them with a player's name/number or blank on the back?

what was the general opinion of this year's away kits?

hmmmm tough question, since players that are really talented tend to get bought by other bigger european teams, usually I get it with a blank
or even my last name on the back and no number
other clubs like Madrid or Inter i buy the players name and number

this years's home jersey is the same as last year, away is pretty nice but I rather have a home jersey

totally understood. I am finding that unless it is a player that is destined to be a lifer at one's squad that blank or one's own name/nickname is best.
