Sunderland looking like they are pretty much locked into going down. losing to spurs in one of their many games in hand. 7pts behind Norwich as it is.

Spurs on the flip side might, might have a faint chance of finishing 5th - depending on Everton's difficult last 5 games. That said - I think Everton are going to be chomping at the bit and are going to be a handful for their remaining opponents.

Wouldn't mind Spurs finishing ahead of United however to completely knock them out of Europe.

Say they qualify this year - he gets to spend a fair bit in the summer and gets the glamor of the CL on his resume. They may finish 6th that year dealing with two competitions, but the following season he'd have no europe to mastermind another run at 4th or would be snatched up by a bigger club at that point.

I want the scum playing on Thursday nights. They have enough talent in their squad to beat the lesser lights in England and may even pick up a few top players this summer because they'll be desperate and will chuck top dollar at people - and that combo with no Europe makes for a potential revival and tougher battle for 4th next year.

Sure, but with Arsenal, he can plan on building a club that can compete in the CL every year and not a one-off every few seasons. I just think he'd be a great manager for the current Arsenal squad...but as I said, we don't want that.

    Off to Barca then.

Agree. Just make sure to say away from the Oligarchs and Oil Barons. We don't want to upset the current balance on Merseyside.

The other big match this weekend is a relegation decider: Fulham hosting Norwich. If Fulham don't take maximum points it is tough to see them catching the canaries. Even with Norwich's rough end of season where it is completely possible they don't take a single point, Fulham would have to take 1.5 ppg in their remaining 4 games to overtake 17th place.
If Fulham do take 3 points against Norwich, it will likely be a three team battle against the drop: Fulham (@spurs, Hull, @Stoke, Palace), Norwich (Us, @scum, @chavs, arse), and West Brom (Spurs, @citeh, WHU, @Arse, @sund'land, Stoke).

I certainly see Fulham winning that match. They played well against Villa and Norwich are in a free fall.

If Fulham stay up it will truly be the greatest of escapes--3 managers in one season. Daft...

I know some folks are thinking Chelski today as it will give them 2 more games to play around ours - but I'm rooting for PSG all the way.

If I was the chavs, I'd target the PSG's right. The right-back looks League 1 standard.

apparently 15' mins in and Hazard is injured and must come off! that's a big blow to Chelski...though of course Schurrle has looked decent the last several weeks.

Stoke-esque looong throw, Cahill pushes the defender in the back causing him to miss the ball - and schurrle the sub scores.

    1-0 plastics.

PSG falling apart - cahill lashes an open shot from 8 yards wildly into the crowd.

Great goal by Schürrle, poor making by PSG.

Now, that is the Dortmund that I recognise from last year, injuries or not.

I can see why Willian rather than Lucas Moura first pick for Brazil.
