For me the best one by far was Bruno Mars - i was pleasantly surprised with his comedic ability, the other one would be with Christoph Waltz and the Anne Hathaway wasnt bad either. Other than those, the rest of them have been pretty disappointing.
It's the constant change and turnovers that have helped SNL stay fresh over the years. But as stated it needs to be controlled from the top. Sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised with the "stars" coming on the show. Like Hathaway and especially Justin Timberlake. He's always struck me as a lightweight trying to portray a tough guy but on SNL he was hilarious. Even if he was trying a bit too hard.
I've reached the point where I honestly believe Timberlake should be given creative control of late night television decisions on NBC. He has done some great stuff on Fallon too.
I know it has been known for a while and was even in articles posted here, but somehow I overlooked Meyers leaving mid-season to take on Late Night.
Pahk the cahr in havahd yahd Pretty solid finale for me. And it seems Fred is indeed leaving after his little send off skit at the end, still not sure about Jason.
