First of all, you are totally correct about everything but the only exception was Uncle Carmine built the house in Willow Glen and Uncle Lou built it in Monte Sereno. Secondly, how did you know their names were Carmine & Lou? Are you one of those PEEEPING TOMASSO’S? hahahahahahahaha!
I heard that the ticket sales staff was in "training" to sell the club seats, so hopefully we will see something offered up on that front.
You don't care about appeasing the parents of those poor kids who have to go to bed at 8:30 on Saturday nights? Make nice with Nancy? Certainly this must be the holdup... Is Carmine the neighbor from Laverne and Shirley?
Actually, Carmine was Shirley's boyfriend, at least until she later married a sailor in California and moved away. Lenny and Squiggy were their neighbors. The fact that I knew all of that further proves that I'm old. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
What's up with Nancy? Any news with her? I would love it if the Quakes let her kick the first ball in the stadium.... Yes the big ragu...... also my middle name......my parents were from Italy what could I do? No but we built the garage behind one as well as the wheel chair access for the handicapped. We also installed the toilets and bidets! The kind where you pull the chain and the water goes down the drain!
Or there are some really important things that have been displaced so you can repeat this stuff for us
Though the full article can currently only be read by those with a subscription, it'll likely become open to be read by everyone at some point in the (hopefully) near future. "Decision against concerts could cost San Jose Earthquakes" (San Jose Business Journal - Friday, 6/8/12) David Kaval, president of the San Jose Earthquakes, said the soccer club doesn’t plan to host concerts at the proposed soccer stadium due to noise concerns. The club will instead host smaller events like away-game viewing parties. (Vicki Thompson) GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
As with the previous post, the full article here can currently only be read by those with a subscription, it'll likely become open to be read by everyone at some point in the (hopefully) near future (note the San Jose Earthquakes logo on the bottom left edge of the rendering). "New hotels, offices eyed in San Jose" (San Jose Business Journal - Friday, 6/8/12) Plans to build out about 1.5 million square feet of office, two hotels and 50,000 square feet of retail on Coleman Avenue are moving ahead. Oh, yeah, go ahead and okay those concerts. I can imagine rock concerts being held and NIMBYs in even greater numbers descending on the place.
http://hsdevelopment.squarespace.com/projects/conexus/ This is from there website. They also did the Lowes site too. Thought maybe more retail would be there, not sure how old pics are.
I dont think this will hurt them at all. Thu already said they'll host sporting events instead heck maybe even graduations ? It opens alot of dates for them to host, rugby (union), rugby (league), lacross, I see them going for ccs soccer and football. I'm sure they will put a bid in for high school state football. Other soccer club games besides the quakes.
I like that the HS renderings show the hotel right next to the stadium, but, I am curious about the parking. I wonder if the "blue" parking areas are parking garages?
We all assumed there would be one but the HS renderings contain the first documention I've seen for a pedestrian bridge from the call train station.
I'm sure they have to be or else both the lowes and Costco parking lots will be packed and cause the owners head aces. I live east side off of berryessa. I plan on taking vta to all games.
I don't think they will lose too much by not hosting concerts. They might lose some revenue but then in turn, they can also make it up by hosting exhibition soccer matches featuring Mexican or international teams (and like Dave said) HS & JC championships and/or youth soccer tournaments. I mean yeah sure they will lose out some but they will make it up somewhere else. I think that drawing is a couple of years old before they scaled back the project. It doesn't match the picture form the SJBJ. Also says it's a totaly of 2.3M sf, and SJBJ picture says 1.5m sf. My guess is that the blue would have been parking garages. The new pic shows only three garages.
