Why? Even if the appeal is filed we're almost there. And if it's not we're home. The Quakes are going to push this through the permitting process with the city right quick. They want to break ground before we kick the season off.
I think we been waiting for this long enough, but knowing that there are more than just one party involved (FO, ownership, fans, city , politics, San Jose residents, etc) nothing is over until is over, as of now anybody involved can stall the process...there for: BUILD IT NOW ! (THE HOME STRETCH...HOPEFULLY ! )
Tomorrow (Tuesday, January 3rd) is the deadline day for an appeal and the day we should find out whether The Epicenter will likely open in time for the start of the 2013 MLS season or if, at the very least, the first half of the 2013 season will be one massive road trip for the San Jose Earthquakes. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I'd imagine that it'd be the close of the business day at 5:00pm PST, though we may only find out the result one way or the other somewhat later. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Perhaps, but unlike what The Epicenter will be at only $60-$70 million total, Livestrong Sporting Park is one of the two gems of MLS SSS's (Red Bull Arena being the other), so the effect may or may not be the same. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
According to today's (Tuesday, 1/3/12) San Jose Earthquakes Twitter page: GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
well hopefully we would have heard already if that was the case. crossing my fingers, i already have a PTO request ready in order to attend the groundbreaking when it happens
