What's the story of the club? Is it a bunch of fans getting together to run a team or is it connected to an academy? College players? Ex-pros? What's the deal?

Looks good. Would recommend adding a schedule (even if it is prone to changing)

Stompers pull out the tie in the 85th minute with a header off a nice cross from the right side of the pitch. All started by a hard tackle by young Alex playing stopper.

I used to live in SF and Pacifica. I realize costs go up as you go north, but you are very, very far from SF. Why not be closer? Or use a different name?

Anyway, glad the area has a team. Best of luck!

Pacifica is not that far from SF....it is pretty much the next town over. I have heard that the Stompers FO still in talks to get a place in SF, maybe Kezar stadium, but that I will think will be next season.

Regarding the name, the ownership was looking for a name with bay area roots, so they use Stompers (in the old NASL day there was a team in Oakland called that way)

Hopefully we will be able to get a SG going very soon

I get the name, but no one in San Fran thinks Pacifica is the next town over. Anyways, I love the Pacifica/HMB/SoSanFran area, so its fine with me. Just I think it should be in Golden Gate Park or something with the name like San Fran Stompers.

Best of luck and keep winning!

Are the only options in SF Negoesco Field and Kezar Stadium? I've been wracking my brain and thought there was somewhere down near Balboa Park?

I believe Balboa has a stadium, at least parks & rec list it as one. I think ownership would still like to lock down a game or two this season in the city. The problem was the fact they had to lock something down before the season so the league could make a schedule. I don't think they started the process to get into the city early enough. Ownership had not been let in the league for two season, so I think getting in came as kind of a surprise. I do look forward to seeing them in the city, but for now I'll drive to Pacifica.

Glad to see the move the phoenix game from mid day to 7pm, taking away a little of the home advantage.

San Francisco pulled out a come from behind victory on their home pitch in Pacifica, CA vs San Diego Boca last night. Trailing 1-0 at the half the SF Stompers Fc tallied two goal on assist by Gustavo Teverra-Rico. The first one scored by newcomer Felipe Cabrera and the game winner from youngster Armando Camacho.
