Odd that the 2014 schedule was pulled down from the Flash website. Wonder if NPSL is still having trouble nailing the west down since it's not on the site yet.
Nice recap of the game. It took the Flash a while to get it together, but when they did they looked pretty good. The match with Hasental should be pretty good. Crowd this weekend was also quite good.
Flash beat Hasental 2-1 on the road! http://www.sandiegored.com/noticias/50261/San-Diego-Flash-qualifies-into-U-S-Open-Cup/
Sweet! Flash's first trip to the USOC since 2001 if I'm not mistaken. Back when the old Flash were in the A-League.
Congrats to the Flash. They definitely outplayed Hasental in the 2nd half and deserved the win. Good luck in the USOC.
Well given their relative positions on the US Soccer Pyramid I suspect any USOC match between the Quakes and Flash would be in Santa Clara... but yes I'm hoping they come up against one another. The novelty alone would be worth it.
If it is that would frankly be hilarious. I can't see the Quakes playing a game at Mira Mesa High School. But if they ever do look me up. I'll take you on a brewery tour just south of the stadium before the game. Hess, Intergalactic, 2Kids, Rough Draft, and AleSmith are all very close by the Flash's current stadium and all make some top notch brews.
Im pretty sure it is! I might just take you up on that offer if it happens, I have family down in SD.
Don't forget that the Flash home opener is Saturday at 6:30pm against Santa Clarita. The gate is on Camino Ruiz just at the stadium traveling northbound. They had food and drinks there for cash or there are several fast food and casual places at the Camino Ruiz/Mira Mesa intersection. Also for those looking for libations there are several breweries less than 2 miles south off Miramar Rd. I did both breweries and food last game and had a great time.
let the buyer beware on any potential stock offering.... http://parlorcityfootball.com/2014/03/24/san-diego-flash-apply-to-take-club-public/
Wonder how this is going to pan out. They seem to have high hopes, but based on last weekend's attendance I don't know how much money they'll actually raise in this public offering.
is this real life? i wonder how much interest there really is... interested to see how this plays out
The updated article makes it sound like its a scam for the most part. Some hair stylist and her husband actually bought the team and now you can buy shares of their holding company. Sounds pretty fishy to me.
Wow so it sounds like Clent is on the way out then? If so I don't hold out much hope for the future of the franchise.
don't think he's on the way out, at least quite yet; remember, the 50 or so odd owners of the flash got 12,000,000 shares in this shell co. seems like operations will continue the same, the only thing this new co. will do is try and get peoples $$. sketchy as hell though as far as 'investing' goes.
"If successful, the Flash would be the first American soccer club to be publicly traded." Weren't they (the original A-League, Yan-owned, SDSDC, Roller Coaster Inc. Flash) the first publicly-traded American soccer club?
