Too bad Donadoni didn't think that way wheh Juve was relegated......but I guess he had no choice but to pick 2nd division world champion players.

Sampdoria thrashed Gubbio 6-0. I went to the game and it was great to see them play. Gubbio went down to nine men but the team played with great confidence. It was great to hear the fans cheer my surname!

"OLE! OLE! OLE! OLE! DORIA! DORIA!"

Sampdoria are definitely a team that belongs in the Serie A, in my opinion. I hope for a quick recovery.

I agree. Unfortunately we had crap coaches last season and Cassano and Pazzini weren't replaced. Not only should we return but I think the squad could be good enough to finish mid-table. :)

    Thanks!

A tough 0-0 draw at home with Grosseto today. I think they said they had 17m spectators.

I only saw near the end of the game but once I saw Mac on the field, I knew that we couldn't score.

Yeah, he's been a disappointment. He woulda scored if you were playing us, though. I promise you that! ;)

Sampdoria away to AlbinoLeffe just started. Really thought Andrea Coco had a goal at the 4' mark. Alone with just the keeper to beat, headed just wide.

Bertani got a brace in their 3-1 win against Albinoleffe. I haven't seen the game in full yet but even Padalino got a good assist.

My mistake. Foggia, Bertani and Maccarone scored and Piovaccari missed a penalty.

A 2-1 loss to Torino and a 1-1 draw with Verona have halted our progress. Pozzi is back, which is good. Lazcko and Koman are back too, which is bad.

I'm starting to question Atzori as a coach. We need a stable line-up. Foggia must always start!

Mac must never play again and the Hungarian duo Lazcko and Koman should go home. They can't make it in the Serie A and even in Serie B, they are weak.

I'm hoping that they get it right in the second half of the season. We need automatic promotion. Forget the play-offs!

I can't believe i'm seeing this also here.. but Koman and Laczko are two good players. Especially Vlado. When he's in hungarian team, he plays always well. He has to play in his position - offensive midfielder in 4-3-1-2 - and have some trust from the fans.

Foggia has been up and down since now. He's a good player, but in matches aganist Albinoleffe, Grosseto and Torino he played bad.

Koman played well at Bari but for Sampdoria, he has been an atrocious finisher. Does he need new boots or for the likes of Vialli, Montella and Pazzo to teach him how to shoot? If he knew how to finish, we could still be in the Serie A and he could have made Di Carlo look good! He plays as a left midfielder for us but he can get into so many goal-scoring positions. I can't believe that he is so wasteful. If he was a good finisher, he could put out forwards to shame.

Foggia was OK against Albinoleffe. He did score from a free-kick though.

You're too hard on him. Is he responsable for our relegation? Tell me.
If you think this of Koman, do you want to burn alive Maccarone, Dessena, Accardi & co.?

Koman can play only as offensive midfielder. Any other position is a fantasy.

Foggia - in the 1st time aganist Albinoleffe, beside the goal - was awful.. he was stopped by the "legend defensor" Bergamelli.. :p

Koman played a part in our relegation. Maccarone's inability to do anything, Garrone's poor leadership, Curci's inability to deal with long-range shots, Guberti's lack of tactical discipline and will to win, Tissone's fear as well as the incompetent coaching of Di Carlo and Cavasin were just as responsible for our relegation.

How exactly was Foggia awful? More than anything, he didn't put in too many crosses. He opted more for short passes. I do admit that he can and should do a lot better. With the talent he has, Pozzi should be scoring with lots of headers thanks to his crosses.

Who would I burn? Accardi? No. Dessena, in fact, should be playing more but Palombo is the captain and Obiang is playing well. Depends on the system used. Maccarone just needs to get his head kicked in. His presence is an insult to every Doria fan. I might as well play instead of him. At least my surname is Doria! That should be good enough. ;)

BTW, I hope Koman proves me wrong. He still needs to work on his shooting but he can get it right, it will ease pressure off the strikers and give the opposition another goal-scoring threat to shut down.

Here's the pre-match summary for the Ascoli game:

    http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/sampdoria/?action=read&idtmw=300607

Da Costa; Rispoli, Costa, Gastaldello, Castellini; Padalino, Palombo, Obiang, Semioli; Bertani, Piovaccari.

We haven't been doing well in recent weeks but I think we can still win in Ascoli Piceno. The front trio were amongst Serie B's best forwards last season. I hope Padalino can return to the form he was in back in the first part of 2009-10.

Sampdoria won 2-1 against Ascoli. The home side took the lead but Piovaccari equalise with a header and Foggia scored with an angled drive.

Another bad-played game. Somebody fire Atzori, please. He managed this team for 3 months and we still don't have some kind of gaming.. some style of playing. Shame on you, Atz!
