It is being reported that Sacha Klejestan has agreed on a transfer to Belgian side Anderlecht who are qualified for the Champions League next season.

Re: Sacha Kljestan to Anderlecht His game was progressing nicely until his 1st rumored move to Europe fell apart. After that he entered a long slump from which he only recently seems to be emerging. I hope this move will provide an opportunity for him to develop as a player. He could be important for the US during the next WC cycle.

Re: Sacha Kljestan to Anderlecht Same here. I read a great 5 part article about him on TIAS. It talks a lot about his dad and how he influenced Sacha in the game. Its a good read. I've been very critical of him aswell but deep down I really want him to show what he can do. I think its time for a change and hopefully he can do well in Belgium.

Re: Sacha Kljestan to Anderlecht This is exactly he move he needs to make. It's not so massive that Sacha gets lost in the shuffle or that the competition is above his head. It's perfect really. Anderlecht is a damn good club and one that's played some attractive football with a mixture of youngsters and vets. A fixture in Euro competitions, Anderlecht, has traditionally faired well. I don't know who's in and who's out this summer for Anderlecht but there's Jon Legear, Jan Polak, Lucas Biglia, and Nbark Boussoufa, who have been steady options across the midfield. How they lineup I can't quite remember just that Legear is a speedy right winger and Polak is the lock down central player. So in other words Sacha has competition and that's exactly what he needs to propel his career a few steps forward.
Re: Sacha Kljestan to Anderlecht After reading that TIAS article I can see why he tailed off after the Celtic thing. That would be a bummer. I thought the Taylor Twellman transfer-saga days in MLS were nearing an end but it still seems like MLS has some work to do in terms of letting players go for a fair price if thats their goal.
