In the case of Ola John, even if a player is playing better than him I still think John will start only because of the amount of $$ they invested in him. That's why they shipped Nolito out of town.

 

Looks like Cardozo will still be a Benfica player since LFV isn't budging. Bad move in my opinion. Might cause Locker room dissent with some players being on Cardozo's side and others on the JJ side. Has a recipe for disaster.

Pure speculation. However, Cardozo seemed to be in good graces with Benfica until that incident happened. I am sure JJ wants him gone and its LFV that is keeping him there.
