Lyon interested in Nolito, as the French transfer market is still open.

Can't now, What doesn't make sense to me is we can't buy anyone but we can still sell to open markets. Completely unfair. If anyone is to be bought, it's gotta wait til January.

well that's not completely accurate: we can sign players on loan, as well as free agents.

The funny thing is, as bad of a season that Benfica is gonna have, they still will finish above Sporting.

Portugal, home of the Big Three, the two Maderian teams, Santa Clara and lastly, Sporting. :D

    U Jelly?

In all honesty, you guys are acting like spoiled brats. You guys still have an excellent team and should be able to compete for the league title. I will admit though, all these spoiled SLB fans in a catastrophic meltdown is very fun to watch. Carry on.

Seriously, what do I have to be jealous about with Sporting? Come on. I like to tease Sporting fans in here because you guys are definitely the most fired up about your team and its easy.

But Benfica threw away their midfield in the dying moments of the window with no replacements. Its like, dumber than words. I'm still in awe.

JJ suspended for 15 days. He misses a total of ZERO games.... Luisao will probably be suspended in July for 30 days.

All teams in this league lose players but the biggest joke is the officiating and the fact that JJ gets a 15 day ban during the international break..... riiiiiiight. So blatant it's embarrassing.

The league does suck which makes it very funny that we are the 5th and soon to be 4th best league in Europe. Imagine if we were able to hold on to players for 4-5 years....

and the papers don't make a big deal out of it because they're controlled by the government just like the sport is.

without the $$$ exactly how do you propose they keep player's longer? You see the games, the stadiums in the league are most of the time pretty much empty. Fans in Portugal don't go and watch the games. It all starts there.

Well after selling Javi and Witsel, would you ever expect the stadium to be full? It's the players we're selling that the fans want to see.
