Unfortunately that is what our players have to deal with especially in latin america. Only the bad news makes headlines which is incrediably unfair. I hope the mexican authority make an example out of the bastards.. I hope he pulls through but i seriously doubt he'll play futbol ever again. Depending on how much brain tissue they pull out and on what side will depend if he will be a normal functioning human being. what a sad ********ed up incident.

I hope that augurs well for his recovery. But it does say he has a cardiac problem, but doesn't elaborate.

I too was shocked and saddened at this news. what a blow to Paraguay and the WC as whole. here's a player who could change the dynamic of a game all by himself. Futbol is secondary now. I hope his injuries turn out to be less serious than one would expect and that he is able to make a full recovery.

This is terrible news. The Bar Bar is a highend establishment for the past 2 decades, where celebs and footballers go. Efer, America had played on Saturday in Morelia, so he had the day off. Don't know if he was suppossed to train on Monday, but at least he was there with his wife. It seems that it was not a robbery but some sort of argument in the bathroom. .
