So far no score...Braga need a win against Zurich (Grasshoppers) in order to advance to the knock out stages of the UEFA Cup.

    Sporting Braga
Paulo Santos; Luís Filipe, Paulo Jorge, Nem e Carlos Fernandes; Ricardo Chaves, Vandinho e João Pinto; Maciel (Castanheira, aos 82 minutos), Zé Carlos (Marcel, 87) e Wender (Cesinha, 76).

    Grasshoppers
Coltorti; Sutter, Denicola, Wellington e Jaggy; Voser, Salatic (Renggli, 69), Ristic e Roberto Pinto; Diego Leon (Blummer, 69) e Dos Santos.

    SP. BRAGA-BOAVISTA, 2-2 (Zé Carlos 32', Hélder Rosário [pb] 42') 2-1 at half-time.
2 red cards for accumulations of yellow cards, one for each team. This results frees Benfica alone in the third position w/ a game in hand.

There's a chance Braga will get Joao Tomas back by the middle or end of this month; if they don't that would mean his team in Saudi Arabia will have purchased his pass for $1.7 milllion Euros (and activated the clause in the loan which they have the option to buy). Either way Braga will come up winning. Currently JTomas is 3rd in scoring in the Saudi League w/ 8 goals (5 behind the leader) :http://www.ojogo.pt/22-317/artigo601925.htm

Sp. Braga-Portimonense, 5-2 Cup game. The visitors scored first. Braga tied it 10 minutes later and controlled the game from then on. The new player in the January acquisitions, the Peruvian defender Rodriguez wasn't picked for this match.

    NACIONAL-SP. BRAGA, 0-0

Sporting Braga dominated the first half, but wasn't able to score. The reverse happened in the complementary period. A fair result , reflecting what transpired on the pitch.

WTF ? That just doesn't make any sence. Why rescind the contract because of an injury?

    They dont need him.

    Bragas board is superb.

Not onmly did they sign one of the brazilian leagues best midfielders Andrade, they also signed a peruvian international CB for 400,000.

    simply amazing aquistions.

Makes Benficas board look like clowns in strark contrast..ffs spending 3.5 million on a sh!t like marcel.

I think I read somewhere that this purchase was made w/ the agreement that he would eventually go on to Porto... i.e., he'll be going to Braga on a loan w/ the understanding that Porto will have priority to acquire him in hte future. Can anyone confirm this or was I just dreaming?
