    for Russia?

Well, Zyrianov, Anyukov are out with yellow cards and Zhirkov and Shirokov are injured.

I expect Semshov, Shishkin starting instead of Zyrianov and Anyukov and probably Yanbaev or A.Berezutski instead of Zhirkov and Glushakov instead of Shirokov.

The rest will probably stay the same. Pav or Pog will start at forward, until and unless we go up 2 or 3 nil, then you may see Dyadun's 1st appearance and Samedov subbing Dzagoev.

    2011–12 Ajax Eredivisie 1 1 1 1 1 0 3 2

so 3 games total, 1 goal in league game, 1 goal in cup game and 1 appearance against Real Madrid in CL.

out of 8? Bylikin didn't sign with Ajax until few hours before the deadline. By that time Ajax has already played 3 games. Then it took 1 or 2 games for Bylikin to train into shape. Both times he came on as a sub, he scored.

Last year, he led the league after Suarez.

It's no surprise you're taking Advocat's position on this. Biased bomzh.

Really sweet footy from our youngsters against the Portuguese right now, completely dominating them.

Burlak and Kokorin stand out, but there's also Smolov, Yakovlev, and Tsalagov. Poor defending from the Portuguese btw.

Fourth goal was a beauty, both the build up and finish. I want footy to see it.

Anyone have an explanation for why this match has a higher attendance than the Ireland game?

What's the capacity on R of Ireland's stadium? Might be a more intimate ground.

he's talking about the Ireland game in Russia.

the reason for the higher attendance against Andorra is because the Russian Football Union lowered the price to 50 rubles (about $1.80 USD) to make it accessible to students.
Also Arshavin bought 10,000 seats for students.

I was at the game. Good times. Just got back home. Drunk :D

Haha, awesome. Congrats on qualifying! Will be crazy as hell if you get placed in Ukraine. I feel like you will be in the group with Spain and play them in Kharkiv (Spain plays all 3 group games either in Gdansk or Kharkiv) :)

What do you guys think about the play of Vladimir Granat this season?

I haven't see all the Dynamo games, but the ones that I have seen, Granat has looked impressive.

    I think he is a NT-caliber player.

He's looked pretty decent, a bit slow but good technical ability and passing. Positioning is alright, he did beat out Epureanu and Kolodin for the CB spot. Fernandez is their best CB obviously. Muuch better than Parejo and Roja who get Argentina call ups.

He is playing better then the Berezutskiy brothers.

I've never been a fan of these guys, but this year they are really playing awful imo, especially Alyoha.

Advocaat calls up Kokorin but leaves Bilya instead of giving Ryazantsev a call up! Hell give me Fayzulin over Bilya by a mile right now!

I thought Pogrebnyak got injured in Germany and was out for a month, yet he is on the friendly squad. Not sure what's up.

He shouldn't even be getting called up, Zenit favoritism anybody?

He never played under Advocaat though. I'd take him over PP easy btw.

Don't blame Advocaat, it is the Federation's fault for hiring a coach who was sick of Russia when he left. And who was known to play favorites at Zenit (like not playing Dominguez even when there were no other options). Pogrebnyak was used at Zenit and Advocaat made no effort to bring in competition. So why would it be different as the NT coach?

Dzyuba has been called up to NT to replace Pogrebnyak.

Good God, finally crapnyak is left out. Now if only he'd drop Bilya for Ryazantsev.
