that last free kick by beckerman was a microcosm of the game, absolutely clueless play.

It seems like the last 10 minutes of everygame is dominated by RSL... why wait so long to press forward?

Truth be told we lost tonight 2-0.
K.C. was better than I had expected and deserved the win.
Sabo sucked tonight funny how he appears and the disappears over and over.

    KC deserves the win.

Midfield got bossed. It would have been nice to see if Morales/Grabavoy did better under that KC pressure, but meh.

Our passing in the final third and finishing left MUCH to be desired. A point was there to be stolen, but the cohesion wasn't there to make it happen. RSL had some situations where they had the ball with KC out of position, but couldn't turn it into anything.

Outside of the goal (wtf Sabo) I thought our D managed the game quite well.

KC's not unbeatable but RSL didn't show what it can do today, Sporting deserves the points.

Sporting does grab and go to ground...a lot. But Kamara's looking like an MVP, playing very energetically and quite well.

Color me befuddled by that choice of free kicks from Beckerman. A last chance to hit it into the box, and we go with that?

KC also dominated the aerial game. It makes me think back to Denz's suggestion that maybe Schuler starts. Not that I'm second guessing the starters, but his suggestion merits a thought, cuz we got killed in the air.

Fire Kries thread? Just joking, but really a stupid play by Beckerman, set it up, load the box with everyone including Rimando and play it in. Prayer might help but a short ball was stupid.

GREAT Game! What a battle between two good teams. Everyone fought for 90 mins. We will get them in the finals... We can't win them all.

Our passing wasn't helping our game, but it felt like SKC's gameplan is to push/pull and hack at the legs whenever anyone gets into their half. If Stott had the balls to call more of it, it's a different game. They're a good team no doubt, but I think at some point the reffing will catch up to that style of play in their end.

you're ********ing kidding me right? you MUST be the worst troll of all time. it was a terrible game from RSL, very lazy play all over the field, no energy outside the first and last 10 minutes of the game. everyone was content to go 0-0 and they played like it. outside of maybe 15 minutes of action, KC dominated and had their way. if not for our great backline and homeboys ridiculous reaction speed it probably finishes 2-0 or maybe even worse. zero bite moving forward except the last few minutes, Sabo was incredibly lazy all game long and is 100% at fault for the goal.

terrible game from an RSL perspective.

my frustration is that it seemed everytime there was a opportunity to be had, SKC beat us to it.

Maybe I'm the odd man out but Sabo has me scratching my head alot of the time. The dude is lazy. Even though flopping is part of the game, I feel he tries to get a call instead of just playing the game. It shocks me that he has so many goals for RSL.

It felt like KC had one or two more guys on their team than RSL had. I don't know if that's more because KC was pressuring like madmen or because RSL wasn't. I think it was some of both. KC really does do a great job of keeping very high pressure, but I'm surprised and disappointed that RSL didn't have it together enough to even look threatening the few times we caught them up field.

It seems RSL couldn't handle the pressure that SKC threw at them. Some of the players were not thinking and acting quick enough out there tonight. Sad result, but just in the end.

SKC can't keep this up the whole season. Maybe at home, but not every game. Too bad the two teams won't meet again this regular season.

Last thing, Espinoza is a freaking douche. Also, Kamara's "injury" was a joke.

It was flagged offside but since Nielsen had it they waved play on so that he could punt it quickly instead of having to restart. So that's how the no-SOG streak ends....

For anyone wondering why there were so many strange and bad touches out there (which I saw on both sides of the ball) it was probably a large part to do with the wind. The stadium had the wind swirling all the way down to the field so I think it really made an impact. But conditions could've been much worse.

I'm sorry that we only play you guys once this year. A) You deserve a chance to make your case at home and B) While playing you guys makes me more nervous than I care to be, it is fun to watch to good teams try to impose their will on each other.

And finally, damn, what a save by Rimando.

Espinoza is the type of player I'm sure everyone who plays against us hates and we absolutely love. I suspect it's similar to Beckerman for you - and honestly, though Espinoza plays farther forward than a true DM role, that's really what you want from a DM type player.

Anyway, sorry for invading your boards, I'll leave now... Good luck with the rest of the season, but you guys really are good enough you won't need it.

Well except that Espinonza fouls like a mother on about everyone he even looks at. How he survives any match without a red just shocks me beyond all comprehension.

after hearing about all the tornadoes around kansas, i'm just glad none were in the area. i think last year when RSL were in kansas city they had to actually take shelter in their hotel because of a tornado warning. guess RSL are unlucky for the state whenever they play there. hope everyone stays safe there tonight.

really upset with how the league has set up the schedules this year, its ridiculous we dont get a shot at you guys in our place (and likewise for teams like NY who wont get a shot at us in their place). i also have this nagging feeling that the league is going to change up the schedule again next year and we wont get a proper come uppance for the shit schedule we had this year.

They might get to do that again tonight. There's a few lines that should be hitting the KC area in the next few hours that have been producing tornado warnings out west of KC.

I agree. It seems like he tries if the ball is played right at his feet and sometimes makes a good run. Then he gets beat and drops to the ground. It really annoys me. If you get beat you get beat, you can still stay with the play. Staying on your feet is always more effective then falling to the ground.
