Why not? KC has every game of their season on local or national TV. Any game that isn't on national TV (ESPN or NBCSN) is broadcast on KSMO-TV channel 64. Will still be 64 on Dish Network or DirecTV but Time Warner has it somewhere else on the dial.
RSL 2:1 Sporting KC. Actually, I've been playing each opponent this season on my ipod before the actual game, just for fun. So far I've won every game except Chivas USA, which was a loss... Fair warning, if we win this weekend I may become paranoid that our entire season rests upon my slightly above adequate abilities in FIFA 12 on my magic ipod. Not sure I can handle that kind of pressure.
Where is the best restaurant for a watch party? We are trying to get a small group together to watch the K.C. game. I've heard of Skaddy's and Bout Time. What other places are there?
Yes, it's been far too long. I think it's good to be remembered, but I'm not 100% sure. I was high on postpartum female hormones last time I was here, and a lot more uptight than I am now. Anyway, good to be back. I've missed all of you. I prefer Chez Lizzie Bee for my watch parties usually. The seating is more comfortable and the food is stellar. Join me sometime. I'm always up for hosting fellow fanatics.
/\ aren't you in Utah County? That's a haul. Thanks though. We'll be at Scaddys. It's my boy's birthday and he loves Scaddys and RSL.
Bourbon House is great. The food is good and they do a discount if you are in the RA. I have been wary of Bout Time since the playoffs last year. Their service was terrible the night we were there for the Seattle game. There's also the republican if that's your style of place (not mine personally). Maybe someday there will be a place near the stadium that we can all go to. *dreaming*
my brother and I both agreed that, in 15ish years, if nobody has opened a sports bar type place by the RioT, we'll do it. We're trying to find a decent sports bar to catch lunch time soccer matches at on the west side of the valley... it's been painful After bouncing around on the sporting board I've come to the conclusion that someone on this board needs to make their avatar a chick with big boobs. It instantly makes it a happier place to be.
It should be substantially sooner than that. I know there are several people working on building something close to the stadium, like the old Ardell Brown RV building close.... Also, yes to boobs.
There may have to be some revenge from the Resident Feminist. It will be fun to think of something appropriate. Men.
In the past it seems many have agreed that refs trying to give make up calls just makes things worse, how about a make up post on this forum, does that make things better?
I'll second the motion for more boobs and yes, I am a Neanderthal. I just invented fire the other day. Care for some cooked mastadon?
Haha. Yes, men. I mean, no, I mean, aHHHHHH. I would actually be shocked if someone on this board changed their avatar to something of the like. We are a rare breed here.
Well this thread has gone way off topic. I'm blaming you 15. I saw over on the KC board that one poster thinks KC's offense will be able to take advantage of a weakness we have. That being the left side? Really? Now I'm not sure if they mean our left side (probably Wingert) or their left (probably Tony) but I don't know if I see either of those guys being a weakness to expose. Yes, their guys up top are playing superbly and will give our defense all it can handle, but I think Olave and Borchers and the whole team really, will be more than up for the challenge. I'm hesitant to make a prediction, though my 2-0 prediction against Colorado turned out to be correct.
i will say this about KC's fans, a large percentage of them are EXTREMELY arrogant, like RSL doesnt have a chance this weekend and the league needs to bow at their feet arrogant. some of the shit i've seen posted on mlssoccer.com articles, people on ives articles, some of the threads around BS....wow. ya, they are a good team, and their streak without a SOG is impressive, but as of now they have accomplished DICK. RSL fans were extremely arrogant a year ago, but at least we had something more than a 5 game league winning streak to pack as weight behind our punch. we'll see what happens this weekend, but it isn't going to be the curb stomping that a lot of KC fans think it will be.
