Really do look forward to the RSL team we will see tomorrow night. As critical as I have been of Sabo, I do hope he comes back with the swagger he must have felt getting 3 in his last outing. Also hope tomorrow marks the beginning of the return of Javier Morales. This team needs his creativity perhaps more than anything else. As much as I have enjoyed this years European championships I do look forward to seeing some RSL soccer again.
If Morales plays only part of the game and since Gil is out injured, who is going to play AM? Will Morales start and then sub out? or will he come in as a sub?
If Javi can't start and Gil is out, the midfield should hopefully have Kyle, Yordany*, Ned, and Will. *I'm assuming the knock Yordany got during the Minnesota game that shan't be talked about wasn't too severe.
Rimando, Beltran, Olave, Borchers,Wingert, Beckerman,Steele, Johnson, Grabavoy, Sabo, Espy! Bench: Reynish, Sabi,Javi,Tanaka,Estridge,Paulo,Alverez.
So Morales will be used as a substitution? Hopefully our midfield can wear them out so he can come in more energetic than chivas.
I'm assuming grabs gets the nod at the AM spot at least until halftime. OMFG we finally have a game!!
Steele starting? Get ready to be underwhelmed The Cody Arnoux lasic commercial cracks me up. The guys he played against in that "game" were random kids off the street. Also, he only picked up 2 injuries during filming
someone explain to me where this crowd noise is coming from? there are like 2000 people there, yet they make it sound like its past capacity. did they hand mics to people in the stands and say "yell in this constantly"?
It was a terrible play, leading to a dangerous counter. On the other hand, three good looking attacks for us int he first five minutes bodes well.
So far, I think he's shown some quality (11th minute). Wait... I musta missed something he did. I am filling my pill organizer for the week and not watching closely..<sigh>
Steele is awful as a starter he is an offensive sub and nothing more he has pissed the ball away numerous times tonight already. I know who Javi should come on for at half or at the 60th The connection play between sabo and espy is lovely, but they need to actually test Kennedy. Pull the trigger, please!
Do we need to take count of how many Steele giveaways lead to a fast break? Other than that we've had some nice build ups into the attack with a lot of one touch passing. Beckerman looks really sharp and Johnson is doing well to break up the Chivas attack.
The amount of ground Will Johnson is covering is phenomenal. It looks for moments like a Chivas player has ten or more yards of open space, yet in comes will with great hustle and good runs.
Johnson has been awesome so far tonight. Effort not just for effort sake. He is turning it into a chance for us or breaking up Chivas attacks. Kyle has had some iffy moments by his standards, but still nothing awful like Steele. Oh, and I compliment Johnson and he passes it to a Chivas guy 5 feet away... of course
