Let's hope he's not about to announce his retirement too... ;)

I dunno. But it looks like he should have.

    My guess is Rimando.

According to BigAppleSoccer and Steven Goff, Rimando has been traded back to RSL for future considerations. I sure hope they are the same future considerations we got from NYRB a few weeks ago.

No, the future consideration will be . . . Nick Rimando, next year, as soon as Seitz is ready to play. :)

Confirmed: Sources say it is Rimando. See AYL for details as they become available.

    Welcome Rimando!

    Good Riddance Garlick!

God bless that man, Coach Ellinger. Didn't have the foresight to know that Rimando should have been #1 at the beginning. Instead made him #3. Now he's #1 and likley able to command a bit more in salary than otherwise had we just signed him when he was traded in the first place.

It is a three ring circus with player acquisitions at this club.

Well, if you're buying what's been printed in the papers (that is, RSL's side of the story), then Ellinger had no idea Garlick was going to retire. Hard to fault RSL for this one if you believe that Garlick, in fact, sprung this on them without warning.

Do these two sentences together seem funny to anyone else?

No. Deuce is a professional photographer - those photos are his livelihood. People won't pay money for them if they're available free on the internet.

I have/want no part in this feud, nor do I understand why these two have taken it onto a public forum, but there's nothing funny about copyright violation.

Actually no. But once I had a neighbor that threw water on an oil fire and it started the whole side of his house on fire. Same thing?

I never said copyright violation was funny. I was only pointing out that Deuce contradicted himself just a little bit with those two sentences. If you're going to take private matters public on a forum like this you have to expect people like me to pipe in with a joke or two. How else would I get through my day?

Welcome back Rimando - I, for one, was sad to hear that we didn't have room for you earlier. Now that you're back, I'm happy!

One guy - Garlick - was under contract, and one was not. Short of jettisoning Garlick as soon as the trade happened, the situation went about as well as could be expected. I imagine most teams figured Rimando for a pay cut to backup salary, which he wasn't interested in. RSL did negotiate for some months on that one.

RSLFM I love your website and I check it about 10 times a day. Don't you think that Riley knew about the trade before he went on air and talked about it. If it makes you feel better I knew about the trade tuesday and I know what we are sending back to NYRB for it. It is what we got from them and a tiny bit more.
