cant speak for anything other than the Mar 6 match v. College of Charleston, If it is like last year all the games there were free and open to the public but they werent always standard 90 min matches and there were tons of subs.

Is that game against the white caps supposed to be here in SL or away somewhere else?
I would hope they do something like they did last season with a free game in preseason at the RioT. That was awesome

Well, the team is scheduled to be training in Casa Grande, Arizona Feb. 13-27. So you must assume that the Feb. 20 match vs. the Whitecaps as well as the TBA Feb. 26 match will be held in Arizona.

if i remember, the main reason we played that exhibition at riot last year is because we were the oddball number MLS team with the 1st week bye

It's looking like they will be held at the Casa Grande complex. Anyone going?

I would suspect many of them will be. The scrimmages will almost certainly be.

I enjoyed that game also with my two kids! I was hoping that would become a tradition each year before the season began. How many new fans would you get each year with a free game against a decent opponent from the second division and the game ended with a quality goal from Morales!

Bring back the free game, please!

Does anyone know what Brian Johnson's new opportunities are?

    Just curious.

Also who were the other candidates for the job?

    Anyone, anyone?

I have no insight into this situation, but "pursuing other opportunities" is a euphemism for being fired.

I posed this question on a knowledgeable BS soccer thread about College coaching changes. If I hear anything I will let you know.

So, not really news, but out here in the east, RSL has been making the commercials. There is a company, HH Greg...RC Willey w/out furniture, that shows Panasonic TV commercials that always have RSL highlights on the TVs....Espy's beauty at the end is my fav!

That is both good news and sad news. I really liked him. He was a great guy and extremely nice. I thought that we was a very hard worker and really inteligent. I know that he was disappointed that Jason kept bringing in new guys and demoting him more and more. I think that he is a much better coach and person than Casar.

this event was awesome, and the pitch will be perfectly fine. If worse comes to worse, once all the snow is off (which it could very well be right now) they could just tear it up and lay new sod. right?
