Is this the year we beat NY? And could it be the first road win of the season?
With how RSL has played (for the most part) combined with how NYRB has played (also for the most part) this game SHOULD go to RSL... but we'll see.
Biggest thing for RSL: Finish and dont give up anything in the back
Starting XI (same as the previous two weeks)
    Rimando
    Beltran Olave Borchers Wingert
    Mathis Beckerman Javi Johnson
    Findley Yura

I hope to see a 1-0 win for RSL... but we'll see.
Should be a great match, too bad its on that ugly turf

Carlos Johnson (who?) got a red card for the pink cows in their match last night.

I'm hearing that Ian Joy might be available for this one. Don't know about Russell.

Also Conway's suspension is up, and he'll be in the net for NY.

I was wondering when this was going to be up. Their other keeper left yesterday's match with a concussion.

I sure would love to see a win for RSL in this one. We are definitely the better team IMO. Conway coming back will be an advantage for them. Now that they dont have V-berg we should be able to win (the dutchman always seems to score agaisnt us, and he isnt going to score agaisnt us when we play TFC). Anyone taking the trip with the jetblue advantage?

So if the Espy news is true? Will we see him by the weekend? or do we have to wait for August?

i hope JK doesnt throw joy back into the starting XI.
he should be a halftime sub for Beltran, thus giving him sufficient time (start the following week if all goes well) and there is still time to sub him out for russell if needed...

Maybe someone can verify this but I think there is about 4-5 weeks left in the Clausura. I would assume that worst case scenario is that he'd come back shortly after that.

i am confused... april 15th is the MLS roster deadline correct?
so how can RSL add a player after that? will espy "be on the roster" within the next couple of days but just not actually be here for a few weeks or what?
Or is that deadline just a suggestion?

Yes. Two separate questions: when he'll be signed, and when he'll actually arrive. The transfer has to be completed by the 15th. When he arrives is another matter.

It's time for RSL to finally beat the Red Bra New York/Metrostars. If Yura can get an assist, then RSL can beat NY. I would even like to see Mathis score a couple in the win.

    hehe.

JK doesn't know what he's doing!
Garth needs to get more/better players!
    Our tactics were all wrong!
    Our strikers can't finish!
    Our defenders can't defend!
    The commentators sucked!
    The TV channel sucked!
    The world hates us (me)!
    AAAAaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggh!

Good list, but you left out the refs and the poor choice of substitutions. We should just number all of these, for easy reference. Instead of "our strikers can't finish" we could just say it was a #4.

i honestly see us getting a 1-1 or 0-0 tie... but a win is not out of the question... however neither is a loss (up and down RSL goes...)
