He has said Ronaldo is his idol in fact.

There aren't just 2 Ronaldo's the world scene, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Cristiano Ronaldo... in fact, Ronaldo o fenomeno was once called Ronaldinho too... so he's the original Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. :D

C/O the guys at the futbolextremo forum: according to Panama's FA, FEPAFUT, the second leg of the CCL Final in the RioT will be arbitrated by an all-Panamanian crew:

    Head Referee: Roberto Moreno
    Assistant Referee 1: Daniel Williamson
    Assistant Referee 2: Jaime Smith
    4th Official: Jafeth Perea

...so, you guys had something to say about Arabe? :D

That game featured an awful call that robbed Marathon of a goal.

Look at 0:43, and judge for yourself if there was any reason to call it back...

On the day of this historic match, I would encourage everyone to go back to the beginning of this thread and read. Its been quite a remarkable journey, with some amazing victories, and one big loss, noticeable in the second post. RIP FM, hope you were able to fulfill your desire to make it to an away match.

Since an MLS club is in the final , I am curious to know if anyone knows winners and losers purse of the CONCACAF Champions League?

It was interesting to see Beckerman and Borchers pull each other out of position on the first goal. It was somewhat expected to see Russell too far off his man to defend adequately.

Borchers more than made up for his confusion with Beckerman, but Beckerman and Russell owe the Karma Gods.

Oh, and Morales is that other God.

I'm not familiar with the conditions in Salt Lake but does do you believe Monterrey will play the same way (coming down in droves) with the altitude and cold weather at Rio Tinto?

At this point in time, one would think the return leg favors RSL via those conditional variables, but also contained in that little differential set, is there's other soccer to be played in between.

I think CCL winners get $500,000 for the whole team (so split among the players) and then I think I heard on FSC tonight that if you win the Club World Cup its something like $5 million.

And the CCL winner will get $1 mil just for showing up, with the prize money increasing the farther they go in the Club World Cup.

that would be a FATTY bonus check for the guys, and very very well earned as well. im not sure how they would split up the 500k, but even if it was spready evenly among all the players on the roster it would be almost $25k per player coming to them. some of the guys would make almost their yearly salary with that check.

$1MM split among the roster? holy shit, the guys should be busting their ass for that a lone. altogether? $1.5MM split among 26 players is almost $58k. cha ching.
