Yeah, I was afraid it might appear that way. It was one of the links that showed up on the Reimagined World Cup Jerseys web page, so I figured it was public knowledge and I was probably the only one out of the loop. It's not like I'm Googling him or looking up real estate records or something...

I was unaware Neil had been cut. Interesting. So we go into the season with five center backs and four outside backs (counting Balchan here but not Allen)?

my favorite of the bunch was the Switzerland kit. Not because of the design, but because the name on it was a tennis player. That certainly bodes well for your soccer team when the name this designer picks is Rodger Federer

Spain's is terrible. It reminds me of Italy's kit from a few years ago that was designed to look like armor. It's just not a good idea.

Oh, and "some reddit designer" is bullshit
Kreis got bored in Manchester one night and was like "I'll show those RSL fans what I really am capable of"

This designer does it a little better, IMO. Especially the US jersey. I would've bought that one.

Not to be buzzkill here, but the photos on the soccer field are pretty cool, but those in the mountains kind of make me cringe, especially that cheesy hat Kyle is wearing.

Oh well, you do a lot of stupid things that you later regret when you get married (and getting married can be one of them <rimshot>). :ROFLMAO:

I was going to say the same thing. I guess it coincides with losing Garth at the end of the season, right?

On the eve of the death of this thread, this seems a fitting thing to post

for those of you that just LOVED the 2005 Champions League final - you now know what it is like to be an AC Milan fan.

"oh it was such a classic game".

    Yeah? GFYS

I was surprised to hear that Allen has not trained at outside back all season. Guess they could still put him back there in an emergency. Dillon also played outside back in one preseason game.

OH NO! PRO locks their refs out! Where will the MLS heads find same quality of refs? I'd guess we'll not see much of a difference. Let them stay locked out.

At the very least, Bruce Arena's first postmatch interview of the year will be very entertaining.

    be careful what you say
Sure, our refs might not be the cremde la crem but to throw out the idea that their won't be much difference is preposterous. Same thing was said in the NFL. You remember that shitty game up in Seattle when they beat the Packers? Exactly

Wasn't just that game, the NFL replacement refs were EMBARASSINGLY bad in every game. Hard to blame them though, they were never meant to be put on that level, that high of a stage. It was the leagues fault for putting themselves in that situation. MLS doesn't have the control over this PRO vs refs dispute like the NFL did over theirs.

    True.
But it's not like MLS is just watching from the sidelines on this - at least they shouldn't be.

But they essentially are. It is not MLS' job, it's PRO's and US Soccer's job to have and manage a CBA with the reffing association union. This has long been established, MLS is not the one who controls the refs in this country.

Now what would have been EXTREMELY interesting is if MLS had gone out and found their OWN refs, trained them and put them in place for this weekends games. Would have been a interesting situation/case study, despite the outcome (refs ended up being better or worse). I think MLS has had a long standing policy of "well, we don't control the refs so let's not step on any toes are do anything to might make us look bad." Would have been nice to see them grab hold of the situation for themselves and try to play their own hand.
