Simpler version. SirM likes football therefore football is good. SirM didn't like the wedding so the wedding was bad.

Sheesh. Everything doesn't have to have some deeper meaning, and certainly not for people who spend their time posting on BS!

I enjoyed the wedding a lot. Something cultural that you just don't see in the US. I'm not saying that I'd like to have a ruling class here, because I think it would be awful, but it's entertaining to watch from a distance.

btw, I was leaving work yesterday and a lady looked at me and asked if I'd watched the wedding. When I said "of course" she went into a long dissertation on why she didn't like the wedding dress -- most of which I completely agreed with. This lady was African-American and what I would consider to be working class (not that I ordinarily bin people into classes). I think this shows that the fairy tale angle is the correct one, and that it transcends all classes.

There is no such thing as a middle class.

Trust the Yanks to be anti-royalty. If it really pains you so much just ******** off to your local Irish establishment and put some more change in the fund.

    You completely missed the point.

EVERYTHING can be elaborated upon in our world and EVERYTHING has a meaning beyond its surface. When a people are drawn to a fairytale there is context in which it exists in, which you can categorize in collective context as well as individual..and then you can go into many different paths to find why one person might like said scenario.

I find it intellectually demeaning when people say things like that.

Having said that, we didn't even really discuss anything 'deeply'....if you believe this is a deep examination of the wedding, what would you call books?

Whether or not this wedding should be considered relevant, I'm thankful it came around so I could enjoy this:

Ugly bride. Ugly groom. Fanfare and Ego.

Is this what the world wants/likes? Why couldn't there be a Tsunami or Tornado to wash/blow away these inbred parasites?

Not really. There were an amazing number of royal people at the wedding though, and lots on small English royal children (made me wonder why the country wasn't overrun with princes and princesses....it's my understanding that the children of princes are also princes/princesses, so the title keeps going on so long as there's a male line. Is that true? And that the titles end with females).

That wasn't your point either I realize, but I try and keep the things that I criticize down to those things that I care about and know a lot about. What England does/says/thinks about it's royal family doesn't really fit into either of those categories.

I liked the dresses and the jewelry. I really liked the '69 Bentley (?) convertible they drove away it. I like weddings. The horse-drawn carriages were straight out of Cinderella -- no mice driving though. I liked the music. I like Westminster Abbey.

    Think that covers it.

I spend far too little time with my mother, so I went over and watched it with her. This is her kind of thing. Kind of liked it. Granted there were about five attractive women on display, but I found myself fascinated. The little kids were adorable. The range from bored to too excited was hilarious. They couldn't hide a thing.

    My hood. Hollyhood!

My effin goodness she has a body of a goddess.

Their government and the people like them. Btw, do people's taxes siphoned off to the royal family? If yes, then eff that. I remember reading that Buckingham Palace was damaged through fire, and they wanted tax money to pay for repairs.

Right after the Chelsea game, I had lunch with 2 girls and a guy, and brought up what me, Bestbeck, and SM were talking about, and I wanted to have a discussion about the philosophical aspect and attempted to extend my convo on here, but withing a minute, the convo switched to how pretty the dress was and how cute his guy and girl was. I had enough and talked about working out with the other dude.

nimma my dear boy, the photographical evidence at hand seems to suggest that they are "slutting it up". Such behaviour by two young ladies with their position in society is shocking and thoroughly disgraceful. I'm outraged!

Then all is well with the world. :)

To see two lovely young fillies frolicking in that manner is a veritable delight, and a sight to behold!

Not until a few seconds ago. :D

Just found a sort of from behind/side boob shot. Nothing to really get excited over if that's it.
