Adds depth? He is a starter and I'm glad he is returning. If Washington shows the same promise he did before getting injured last season and with the addition of Needham, our backline is looking better than it ever has before. I do also worry about the goalkeeper situation and hope we pick up someone with experience and ability. Fontein might be good, but he has zero minutes as a pro and hoping he'll be another Attinella is a stretch. Looking at a huge drop off between the pipes in the short term unless we go after a proven pro and work Fontein in more slowly. I might be wrong, and I'd be happy to be wrong, but I just hope the Rowdies aren't expecting]/i] another Attinella level gem.
Gaudette, Hartman and Josh Saunders (the former LA Galaxy keeper) appear to all be available and I'm sure quite expensive. With them not playing during the Spring session, both of Puerto Rico's goal keepers should be in play. Richard Martin did a good job for the Islanders last year. He was NASL Defensive Player of the Week two or three times. Don't know much about his back up.

Long Tan has been released by DC United. I would guess that he is headed back to the lower divisions after not sticking with either the Whitecaps or United. I always thought he showed promise.
He would be a good NASL player. Maybe Stars or Cosmos already got him. Have you guys noticed who is all signing with Minnesota?
Ya we noticed. We look forward to Sattler getting hurt in the second game of the season and Campos doing something idiotic to get his team knocked out of championship contention. Also not sure how well Barbara and Campos will work together, they are the same player. I like that the Stars new owner is apparently serious about running the team and improving both on the field and at the gate.
