Anyone see this on TV or the net? Just wondered what the 3 or 4 penalty shouts we had looked like. We all left feeling like we'd been robbed blind but you know how it is in the heat of the moment. So there was, Barry holding Benni, Roberts being dragged back, Samba getting pushed over and Roque getting an elbow in the face and held back (that could have been just outside the area). Just wondered what it looked like on TV, MotD didn't show any of them, which was odd as BBC mentioned them elsewhere. No hard feelings against Villa, good luck to them.
Samba getting pushed over was the only one that clearly wasn't a penalty. None of the other three were obvious penalties, but given what we've seen penalties get called for lately we probably deserved at least one. I thought Roque getting hit in the face was the worst of the three.
Thanks. The Roque penalty was the one that really got the fans after the ref's blood, it looked like a good shout to us. I think the fans' reaction (including mine) was mainly down to the other two against Benni and Roberts not being given then Roque's being the final straw. The few elbows to the head of our players didn't help the mood in the stands much either. No bookings for them then we get two booked for dissent. Just wanted to clear it up, I can get a bit biased at the game And yeah, Villa for the league!
well i could see quite clearly that roque nearly had his head took of and the other 2 roberts and benni were both being held. all 3 could be quite easily given. but we have had 2 pens in 2 matches so i suppose we cant be expected to get gready. the ref was shocking but if we cant defend at set pieces then we only have our selves to blame for the defeat. dont think that villa were that much better than us to be honest.

Yeah our defending for their goal was shocking, giving Milner all the time to pick his spot. But I agree, overall Villa weren't as good as I expected, I thought we deserved a draw from the balance of the game. Their fans singing "who the **** are Man Utd" and "We're going to win the leage" was a bit hopeful, or tongue in cheek. I'd still like them to go on and steal a top 4 spot though.
