Who goes to Gold Cup and who goes to Confederations? Who goes to neither? Confederations: Most of the Gold Cup Roster plus Vela? Goalies are the issue. Gold Cup: Our z team is pretty good. Goalies are also the issue in this.
at this point, who really knows? within the next 2 years a lot of new guys could pop up out of nowhere. it's pretty safe to say though that guys like Chicharito, Gio, Vela, Guardado, Moreno, Jona, etc will be there
pretty much most of the gold cup will be there plus vela, marco fabian, jona dos santos and a few more that suprise, we can have a very dynamic bench with guys like aldo, vela, reyna, fabian, because i think chepo has found his attacking players in chich, guardado, barrera and gio. hopefully jona would have replaced one of torrado or castro by then, and at that point torrado and rafa should be taken only for veteran leadership. especially rafa because 2 years in mls will bring his game down considerably. heading towards brazil 2014 i would like our lineup to be --juarez----maza-----moreno---toress nilo-- -------------jona--------castro/torrado--- ----barrera-------------------guardado--- -------------gio--------------------- ------------------chicharo---------- bench vela, aldo, fabian, reyna, aguilar, rafa, torrado gold cup should be or c team, so that we can beat the usa A team since they will have nothing else going on that summer.
As of now: Confederations: GKs: Ochoa, Talavera, Michel RBs: Aguilar, Juarez CBs: Mier, Maza, Moreno, Reynoso LBs: Torres Nilo, Salcido CMs: Zavala, Jonathan Dos Santos, Castro, Rafa Marquez AMs: Guardado, Barrera, Pacheco, Reyna STs: Chicharito, Vela, Aldo De Nigris, G10 Gold Cup 2013 GKs: Orozco, Corona, Liborio Sánchez Defense: Leobardo Lopez, Hugo Ayala, Ricardo Osorio, Jonny Magallon, Fausto Pinto, Kristian Alvarez, Miguel Angel Ponce, Guti Estrada CMs: Antonio Rios, Gerardo Torrado, Pato Araujo, Xavi Baez AMs: Elias Hernandez, Marco Fabian, Javier Cortez, Hobbit Bermudez STs: Cubo Torres, Chuleta Orozco, Pedroza, Nery
Looks good but I would replace Pacheco and Reyna with Fabian and Nery. Also replace Talavera with Corona. I also think Osorio would be a better option than Aguilar. The last change would be to put Enriquez in instead of Castro. The future looks very good though. We have waves of very promising talent coming in. Enriquez and Jonathan should be the 2 mids we so desperately need. Torres Nilo is looking a very good replacement for the hard to replace Salcido. Mier shows a lot of promise and we can even look to Kristian Alvarez as an eventual candidate for the back line. Marco Fabian is tearing it up where ever he plays and to me is a better option to have on the team than Reyna. Casillas, and Fierro from the Sub-17 can become great. Also let's not forget the promise Cubo has shown at such a young age already. It really makes me so damn happy to see that our youth system is finally getting on the right track and getting the attention it deserves.
It's blind faith man, but he has the skill to be a great asset in our national team, so I hope he gets his form back.
There's still time for another player or two to emerge. Chicharito pretty much came outta no where. When you see a Davila on the sub-20 or Casillas on the sub-17. You can't help but wonder what they, or others will do over the time in between?
Let me tell you guys one thing: Jorge Enriquez will be our contencion next to either torrado or castro; he is way ahead of jona in every way.
I would hope that by the time the Confederations Cup rolls around, we would have replaced both Torrado and Castro, hopefully with Enriquez and Jonathan.
wasn't he an attacking midfielder in chivas? i haven't seen him lately, copa ameri ca should be interesting, at the very least to see some of these young players.
Yes, and he has also played defensa central. This guy has ballerness every which way. Oh yeah, he also has a rifle shot: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-stWNR2SAnY"]YouTube - MONARCAS VS CHIVAS Gol de Jorge "El Chatón" Enriquez cuartos de final ida Bicentenario 2010‏[/ame]
i think he can. he had a great season this past Clausura '11 tournament. when he stays injury free, the guy plays excellent. he'd be a great attacking option on the wings, and he can play both on the left and right side. lets see how he does this upcoming season.
Bingo! Yes we have a promising youth of players, let's just hope they can develop them to the next level then integrate them to our National Team. What I seen so far from our sub-22,sub-20 and Sub-17. "Stand out players" Copa America: JDS,Cabrerra,Marco fabian, and Hirum Mier. Sub-20: Davila,Reyes,Enriquez,Alvarez,Araujo,Orrantia,Villalobos and Cubo. Sub-17: Casillas,Fierro,Guzman and Briseno. Don't know about u guys but I'm so F***n Excited! to see this promising players in Action.
Pssst, hey, even if we lose in the 2013 GC... let's use the c-squad excuse like the nads did. And let's say the result doesn't count or it's meaningless also.
Enriquez is excellent and if he continues his form I do not doubt that he will get his chance. Dont forget Diego Reyes though!
True, but reyes for some reason is being played as a defense in the sub 20 and here. He is a damn good player.
I agree, people assume a lot with Jonathan, Reyes and Enriquez would allow mobility in bringing the ball out because they could both do what Marquez did at the World Cup by playing in the central midfield and slotting in the center of the defense when they needed it.
