Any help will be greatly appreciated, but I've got tickets to the Gold Cup Final at the Rose Bowl and the tickets are in Section 3-L. My dad is arguing with me that someone told him at his work that the lower seats are garbage, that you can barely see the field. Any truth to this?
The Rose Bowl is just that: a bowl. It is not steep like modern stadiums, but unless you are two feet tall, you should not have a problem. It sounds like your dad's friend is jealous, a cangrejo, or both.
Thanks man, logic should of prevailed in this one, but I had a mental fart. Besides, I was telling my dad, why he was bitching, when this is his Father's Day gift. Limosnero y con garrote, el guey!
Low seats are bad at the Rose Bowl for football because of all the people that stand around making it hard to see over them. Haven't sat low for soccer there but you'd think there'd be fewer people blocking your view.
In my trips to the Rose Bowl, I was lucky enough to approach from odd directions: once from the North and twice from the East. And traffic still sucked - and we got there 5 hours before gametime.
ok thanks guys, so driving up from OC doesnt seem like its going to be too much fun. So giving myselt 5 hours before game time should be fine??
I made the drive from the OC and it was fine until I got the hwy that the rose bowl is on. It took a good hour with little traffic, unitl I got to Pasadena.
I will be in Corona, I think? Not exactly sure, Corona is the safe bet. And the tailgating is probable, considering I won't be allowed beer inside/PUTO PAIS! EDIT: Ahh, I see this wasn't directed at me. Perdon.
Last year for the Mex-New Zealand game (Wednesday night) I left work at around 2:30. At the time I worked in North Orange County...I got to my friends house in Pasadena around 4:30 and the game was at 8:00. Traffic was horrible...but at least I missed out on rush hour. The drive and traffic from Long Beach during Saturday games isn't that bad though. Usually takes a little over an hour to get there. This game will be at 6:00. I say take off at 2:00 and you should be good.
Just be safe and take off at 11am from your house like I will Doesn't hurt that I live like 15 minutes away lol Drinking at a pub ftw!!!
So I read that the parking lot will be open at 12noon. So you can be there from 12 on. Does anyone know what time the actual gates to the the stadium will be opened?? Also any idea where the general admission section is?? Any help will be greatly appreciated
Traffic won't be too bad on a Sunday. Take 57 North to 210 West. Get off on Fair Oaks in Pasadena. Park in the Parsons structure on the corner of Holly and Fair Oaks. It'll be $7 bucks. You can either walk in from there, an easy 15 minute stroll or take the shuttle.
Some helpful info i found out General Admission is on the south side of the stadium sections 23-28 you would want to park in parking lot F
man I pretty much got the seats situation down but most my homies dont like soccer so one of em wanted to invite two of his cousins to take up seats in the whip for gas purposes which would put us 8 deep... but I guess they got the paisa status goin.....and im wondering now about that shyt cuz i was talking to my old man and he was telling me how back when he used travel through Pasadena sometimes they had retention/ checkpoimts n shit down there where they asked for ur status ....so what's the word? imm be driving n errything so i figure were straight and its LA aka paisa central.. -_- but is it safe for me to bring these dudes? or should I just tell em waddup and tell em they're risking it. were driving down from the bay btw.
