Whats so good about him, why does he get a place on the selecao?

Is Roque Seinor a powerful/feared man in brazil or something?

Believe me, that's exactly what millions of brazilians wonder...

    Roque Senior is...

... wait for it... this will explain why Roque plays...

    .... Zagallo!!!

Yes, Roque must be Zagallo's illegitimate son for him to get so much playing time for Brazil.

What? Doesn't it seem like a more plausible explanation than the alternative (that the coaches think he is good?)

Actually, I kid, tpmazembe has been a defender of Roque and frankly I'm more on his side than not. But mazembe's not around right now, still offline since the hurricane. So I will remind everyone that Roque Jr. did well in 2002 and is also very highly rated by the seleção psychiatrist(s?). Well, tpmazembe can explain it better.

At any rate, it appears he is no longer a starter, but I stand by my words earlier, if we don't win it won't be because of him.

Well, he did OK in 2002 Copa did he not. This Mineiro always comes alive in finais, guys. I think Juan has got his number 4 shirt now though.

Though I never really cared for him I will give him credit for being one of the very few Brazilians and S.American players to have won a WC, Copa Libertadores and a Champions League!!
