Why would they need to loan him? He's a seasoned pro. He has experience. It's not like he's a 20 yr. old. Leeds have good players but if wasn't able to break into the squad he probably would not have signed. Leeds are only 6 points off of a playoff spot. They will need the whole help of the roster, Rodgers included, to make a late push. After this concussion scare, Rodgers should be given a fair shake at minutes.

Strange indeed. Observers had good reports on him in friendly. Rogers clearly could help but....

Chill out fellas. Robbie broke into the lineup and then had a concussion. That was like two weeks ago. He doesn't need to be loaned out. The fact that they haven't loaned him out, but have loaned out others at his position apparently, would seem to indicate that, in fact, his coach doesn't seem to think he needs to be loaned out, and likely that his coach thinks he is needed on the squad to finish out the season. I don't normally complain about this stuff, but it does get tiring to constantly read posts about how player this and player that need to get loaned immediately because they haven't played in two weeks. Please be a little more rational and realistic about how it all works.

I watched the game today. The players at left wing today were clearly a step below Rogers. Hopefully he gets in soon.

I was puzzled by the game today as well. Comments all week were that he looked sharp. Maybe the Manager was a bit superstitious and did not want to check the mix. But White and Webber are plainly a step down IMO.

Thats a shame the whites drew at home. They needed the W.

Deciding whether RR should play should be waaaay down the list of concerns. They should focus on defense, then defense, then defense, ...

As we know, Rogers can defend. Sigi and RW taught him well on how to be a good two way mid. That was needed tonight against NF. Odd he is not getting time. The wings were dead from Saturday's game.

In the Olympics against Nigeria he covered the entire left side including some extremely fast brothers.

Yeah he did pretty well in a difficult situation then

I remember watching tht early in the morning on my laptop and being so enraged at Orozco (also why was Nowak playing him at LB?) (also completely off-topic)

USA went down a man when Orozco got the red.

It is decision time for the coach at 10 v 11.

Upon checking, a tie would have needed a favorable result from the Japan/Netherlands match to advance. USA would have advanced ahead of Nigeria on goals scored. Basically, a tie would not have insured USA progression, had Japan and the Netherlands gotten into a goal fest.

The coach's consideration is to see if he needs to play 4 in the back (in that case someone needs to be replaced for a defender) or consider adjusting the 10 players on the field.

We were short defenders, remember Spector had and injury. That was why Orozco was playing at left back and Mo Edu was playing at center back.

Nowak decided to leave Rogers in to cover the left side. I thought Rogers did great and it appeared to have been the proper decision by Nowak.

Regardless, we did not achieve the result we needed to advance.

Nigeria went on to the silver medal without the benefit of Ogbuke Obasi who had scored two goals against Belgium in the semi-final. Argentina won gold.

Lets see if Rogers gets to play at the den. He traveled with the squad. Seriously the two guys on the wing ( white and webber) are a step down.

It sounds like a long ball direct style of play today. Doesn't suit Rogers style.
