Warnock slates Townsend in his press conf.: http://205.196.123.12/1edz9ddouelg/f558je4h3j398h6/Warnock+Press+Conference.mp3
Honestly, the f*** does he expect? "Thanks for f***ing us over mate, good luck back at Spurs." Anyone who said that to him is a jock-sniffer and not a Leeds fan full stop
As people have posted on Leeds forums if he had come out on twitter saying all the right things "Leeds are a great club with great fans, just couldn't settle up North" or something to that effect it would have been understood, but he just comes off like a twat here.
Adam Smith gone back to Spurs too apparently. Not sure whats going on with your boys SoCalYid. Sounds like Warnock might be making way for some of his former QPR players.
Yeah I don't know. With Adam Smith we actually need the depth but still I don't like it. Honor commitments, I lose respect for players when they don't. Smith is different then Townsend who's looking like a Bostock (who just kicked off again by the way). If anything help out you mates. How hard is it going to be for other players who we rate highly to get loans now like Pritchard, Ceballos, Soli, Lancaster, Luongo etc.
Andros joins Birmingham on loan that's just everything that's wrong with football, front-running scum.
Rogers will end up taking he spot anyway once he is healthy. Under Sigi and then RW he learned to be a good two way player and was excellant at covering space on defense. A good example of that is when he had to cover the entire left side against Nigeria in the Olympics. Leeds seems to have firepower but not the all around game thats needed to win championships.
I am not sure what the concussion protocal is in Enland but I imagine he will be elgible to play again in a week or so.
He was cleared by the Doctor yesterday but did not make the 16 for today's Yorkshire derby verse Hull.
It will be interesting to see how long it take Neil to give the lad a chance now that he has his own choice in there (Webber).
This is true, Warnock has a long history with Webber going back to his days at Sheff Utd, so I'd imagine Robbie has his work cut out for him. Webber looked really lively in the game on Saturday, should have scored about 3 or 4 goals but fluffed his chances. Did really well getting into positions though and linking up with McCormack and Becchio. Whole team was average yesterday by the sounds of it so maybe that will open doors for Robbie. Everyone around the club is expecting a completely new squad for next season with Warnock now in charge, so I hope Robbie impresses him before the season ends.
Rogers did not train for two weeks. I imagine it will be a week or so before he is even considered for the 16. Hopefully there is a reserve game on the horizon where he can impress.
That's encouraging. If he can do well in reserve matches, hopefully he can get a shot at some first team action.
Article about his goal in the friendly, reckon he'll be pushing Nunez for the bench in the next game. http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20120313/rob-on-target-in-united-success_2247585_2657386
I hope you are correct. But how is this a "hunch" if it is your belief for every team and every game RR ever plays in?
He played club ball in high school and his team won state and league cup. He played college ball and his team won the NCAA championship. He played in the MLS and his team won the MLS Cup and two supporter shields. Some players are lucky for their teams.
Lloyd Sam who is in competition with Rogers for a starting place has just gone out on loan for the rest of the season, maybe this'll give RR a bit more of a chance. But if you ask me it might have been a better idea to send RR on loan as he's not proven and could do with games, worked well with Somma and Nunez recently among several other players we've sent on loan. http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20120314/sam-joins-notts-on-loan_2247585_2658501
Its going to be interesting because Leeds has a few players like White etc. who will be hoping for moves to the Premier next season. It would be in Leeds interest to loan Rogers some place now to get his some games and seasoning as prep for next year.
