Warnock's teams are physical and very disciplined. He has historically had a reputation for the long ball, however at QPR where he had Taarabt he was a proponent of keeping it on the deck and getting it to Taarabt. Never plays a 4-4-2 & big fan of the 4-2-3-1 formation with the front 4 interchangeable. Warnock is a fan of Andros Townsend and tried to sign him a couple of times for QPR so I would be amazed if he wasnt starting on the left of the '3' whenever fit. Looking at the Leeds squad, id guess at (when fit): ---------------Becchio---------- Townsend---Clayton---Snodgrass -------Brown-----Pugh------
Warnock said yesterday in his post match interview that Snodgrass, being the best player on the pitch usually, needs to be in a free role and not on the wing where the touchline can be used to defend him. Might give Robbie some more chances on the wing.
Robbie Rogers RobbieRogers Concussions are no joke... Laying low for a few days. Thanks for everyone's concern and comments much appreciated!

Man players need to learn anytime someone is knocked unconscious or there's a potential head injury, to not roll the person around. Let the trainers look at him first. That was a nasty collision, hope he's ok soon.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Don't touch them! Let the medical professionals handle the situation!! It's kind of expected someone will run over to the downed player to check them out but the opponent was close to forcibly rolling Robbie over. Good intentions obviously but just not a smart move.
Article today on the subject: http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...n_broader_canvas_for_his_creativity_1_4264726 I'd expect something like this: ---------------------- Clayton -------------------- Brown ------------- Townsend --------------------- Snodgrass --------------- McCormack ------------------------------ Becchio -------------------------- Which would make Robbie one of the first options of the bench probably.
Clayton has been playing out on the right of midfield in his time at Leeds, and Townsend is left footed. Warnock loves a couple of DMs infront of the defence.
Like with Snoddy playing on the right, I think the modern game tends to have left footed players playing on the right and vice versa. Ross and Andros can play on either wing really, ditto for Robbie. But if you read the article Warnock basically says the attacking players should be interchangeable, so it doesn't matter really. Think Clayton's played some DM this year too IIRC, I rate him more than Pugh there anyways.
Rogers has always been able to play both sides. The issue will be whether long ball is going to suit his style.
Just a guess, but I would think he is out at least 3 weeks if knocked out for that long with no memory of what happened. Worst thing would be to come back too soon and get rapped in the head again.
Andros Townsend has cut his loan short today cause he didn't like it at Leeds. Good news for Robbie, good riddance to Andros. http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...ock_says_good_riddance_to_townsend_1_4279539?
I am seeing some reports that Warnock does not really use wingers in his style of play. Any merit in that? If not this will be good for Robbie once he recovers from his concussion.
I'm not sure, we'll see soon I guess, but I'd doubt that. Leeds barely have enough midfielders and cover behind them really to play a diamond or anything like that.
Just asked, everyone seems to think it will be 4 5 1 / 4 3 3 / 4 2 3 1 depending on the time/situation. So definitely will involve wingers.
that doesn't happen http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,472859,00.html but if he's got a neck or spinal injury moving him can be very dangerous
Sorry about that.... Petulant Child.... I'm not sure what happened but Townsend isn't helping himself ffs. Unless Warnock is correct and Birmingham want to sign him then I'm confused how this is a good move in his mind. Spurs probably aren't pleased by this, they loaned him to Leeds for a reason. Then if you are trying to leave in the summer this is negative P.R., nobody likes quitters. He might still get a move but his value just decreased significantly I'd imagine, with his own club and others. Look at Walker or Caulker, put your head down and work and good things can happen. Caulker will be with the first team next season because he's proven his worth to the club. All Townsend has proven is that we shouldn't bother with him. Hey, at least Robbie Rodgers might play. As to the no wingers bit, didn't Warnock sign SWP? That doesn't disprove the point but I think if Rodgers performs well enough in training he'll get appearances. I think Warnock can be flexible if he thinks it makes them better.
Birmingham just signed Huseklepp on loan from Portsmouth (cutting wage,) whose been brilliant for them this year so I'd doubt he'll be going there. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11674/7540147/Blues-bag-Huseklepp-on-loan (unless they're only looking at him as a striker)
