Last 15 minutes take out Pabon and put in Muriel up front with Falcao. Falcao will leave him tons of space :)

You forgot to mention that at least 3-4 PKs that Lecce has scored were because of Muriel. Too bad his coach doesn't let him take PKs

He god red card in one of Valenciennes match and was suspended for 9 matches by the stupid French federation. Which means that basically he finished the season and won't play muc if any until June.

The best thing is Udinese is protecting him and want him for 1-2 more seasons to develop before selling him for huge money. Muriel by WC time can be world class. Only thing that scares me about our team is our defense. It's old and very weak. Our two wingbacks play as MFs in Italy not defenders

Which makes me thinks that down the road we may end up with only 3 defenders....

thank you! i've only been echoing this concern for over a year now and i think you're the only other one who also noticed (perhaps someone else mentioned it too - but i don't read the posts that are in spanish and are written as long paragraphs :)

i think we will have to eventually switch to a 3-5-2 which would capitalize on armero and zuniga's strength in the midfield. put sanchez as deep midfielder and guarin more up and james in a pure attachking role with falcao and pabon/muriel/flavor of the month striker also up front.

the hard part will be finding 3 CB's to play defense - mosquera, espinosa and zapata come to mind for now...

wow - after watching balotelli get away with murder this past weekend, makes me wonder what are legit red cards these days. i've seen sanchez play in person and on tv many times and he's not one to tackle maliciously....

football needs to implement some sort of instant replay rule when issuing out suspensions, etc....

To play 3 - 5 -2.....we need to have 3 good central backs, Colombia have problem just to find 2 decants ...... At least armero, have showed all the skills playing with the nt as full back in 4 4 2, and zuñiga sometimes.....and with his formation james will be far away from the wing, and in my personal opinion his potential ocurrs since this place

a 3 CB thing would have never worked for us. Even when Yepes and Cordoba were in their prime and in my opinion the best two CBs in South America who would have been #3? Bedoya? Perea? What teams in Colombia or hell South America play with 3 in the back. Our defense is weak and playing a formation like that just makes them more shitty. I am all for all out attack but if we score 4 a game and let 6 in then that's no good. This isn't indoor soccer.

America of Mexico has a shitty defense with Aquivaldo starting. Zapata has had a bad season and Bernardo has what 1 season in 1st division? Franco? Kid has been pretty average this season. Leition ? He doesn't seem very good after coming back from injury.

I like the 3 CB thing, but I have to agree with Crazed.

Our defense is way to slow for that kind of play, added that our midfielders lost the ball up top so the counter attacks will bites hard.

I prefer the 4-2-2-2. Very effective.

I really think that Peckerman didn't call him up as he's an important player to Tolima. Since the season is nearly over, there is too much risk to give him a call to a 3 day training for 4 weeks while he's still trains with Tolima. I think Pecker are calling players that have a lesser training schedule, or players are can be replace just in case of injury.

Also I'm excluding the keepers, they don't train as much as the outfielders. Yes they train but they don't work as much as a midfielder or striker or defender.

I agree with Pipe. Aldo cannot perform well as a "5" or Defensive midfielder just like vs. Mexico, he is much better when he participate in the offensive part like an "8" or a "10", just like he was our main factor in both our titles (Nacional) in 2007. But I also think that Guarin needs to start in both matches, our best midfielder in this position. Edwin Valencia and Aldo also need to be invited, but I would go for Guarin-Valencia or Guarin-Sanchez as the CM's.
