I was so hopeful when Sunderland signed Riveros. Not sure what went wrong, was it Riveros? Was it Sunderland not using him correctly? Both? All I know he is just another name on the ever growing list of players signed by the team that washed out without making much of a contribution. Sunderland seems to have a difficult time identifying talent & even a worse time developing it on the pitch. Being such a supporter of SAFC makes this all the more difficult to swallow. Someone has to be held accountable and this has to change. Unfortunately it looks like Riveros time at Sunderland is over and I wish him well. He is a good player and will contribute somewhere, too bad it wasn't for Sunderland.
It seemed to me they did not have a system that suited the players. Poyet had some success tinkering but that won't work all season.
