Maybe the supporters can bring him a sandwich in the hospital? What kinds of sandwiches do they like in Argentina?
We're way off topic but the Lomito Completo looks outstanding! Might have to track down an Argentine place.
When I was an exchange student in Argentina we had empanadas several times a week. They're delicious, and kinda a sandwhich?
Chara definitely took out Rivero. This happened not too far from where I was sitting. Chara's a thug. I was surprised Portland kept him around as all he seems to do is foul. Gotta love a guy who stands around with his hands on hips looking satisfied after just injuring another player.
I have had to make several trips to Argentina for work; the Lomo Completo is a heart attack on a plate (as long as they do it right, mmmmmmm). If someone really wants to make his day, get him a nice thick cut filet and a bottle of hearty red wine; add in yerba mate and you've got your three food groups there. Also, if you're vegetarian and go to Arg., keep in mind that chicken is a vegetable. Oh yeah, on topic, this sucks but not the end of the world. It's crappy that he'll miss the first few games but I'd bet on him being back by April. LaBrocca and Harbottle should pick up the slack.
Don't forget everyone's favorite, choripan. Choripan is chorizo placed inside a baguette bread with lemon flavored mayonnaise. I lived in Argentina for over two years and loved the food there. Best Argentine place in town in my opinion is the Buenos Aires Pizzeria, just a few blocks from Coors Field. Their empanadas, milanesa, and pizza are all excellent.
Some relatively good news as an update: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...iagnosis-rapids-expect-rivero-back-two-months
Yeah, no sense coming anywhere close to rushing him and risking reinjury. From these articles, one gets no sense if the reporter asks how it happened, and it did actually happen on the simple turn, or if they just watched the video highlight and assumed.
