Re: River Plate vs. Boca Juniors - Fecha 10 (R) I think Lavolpe was an easy scapegoat for the failure of the mexican NT, meanwhile Bravo misses a penalty shot against portugal, and rafa marquez tries to score a goal with his hand and he is a hero. They hated Lavolpe more because he is argentinean but he didn't get any further than any coaches before him.Unfortunately his relationship with the press was not good because mexican sports press has no objectivity whatsoever, not to mention they are unprofessional. When watching Fox sports in spanish you can see the difference between the programs from mexico and the ones from argentina, totally different planets.

The whole team was playing very high up the field for the offside trap and it just didn't work. And one of those came from a rebound after Palermo tried a ridiculous shot. Singling out Gago for that is not fair to him. The whole midfield looked quite unorganized but he did what he could and almost all of his passes were on target.
Re: River Plate vs. Boca Juniors - Fecha 10 (R) I thought Palacio did quite well in the first half, went like knife through butter on that left wing. Higuain messed up on the last play but since he is so young he definitely has room to grow and he scored two goals.

It was kind of like that game against Ivory Coast were they planted him up there as a lone striker(which he is not) and gave him absolutely no service yet some people criticized him afterwards. He's not god. . Higuain gave us trouble the whole game on the right side.

Re: River Plate vs. Boca Juniors - Fecha 10 (R) Well appeared to play the counter attack scheme...while bosta had more people in the attack...goals came as a result of having to many up front...also one era from the keeper produced the first goal...it appeared bosta had more options to attack but hey son bosteros mediocre players i always have said that its the truth. river did the 3 centrales in the back with zapata like a left defensive lateral guarding against...bosta right attack who was that? Anyway, I have said belluschi is right for the enganche position his game gets bigger if he plays a more open position in the middle as opposed as a traditional 8 right winger spot. Higuain playing as media punta...excellent...as a 9 great also....Tekla in more as a stadic 9 could have scored more if opted for the chest then shot at a side as opposed to the palomita. Ferrari more of an open position on the right flank but really kind of 5 cause he had to keep spaces shut but really he was to be more lancador but did great of where he had to be. Domiguez unfornuatly was to be the left counterpart of ferrari but thery like played defensive players in offensive position. Domingo kind of support for those guys like a 5 where belluschi played near toward the beginning then later began to play more enganche role. Number 38 i don't know his name did an alright harrasing calvo an cardoso....but still river was very conservative in leaving spaces..kind of suprising ....a counter attack team...i thought la volp would play that scheme i think he tried but...son bosteros....They lost thier "toke" type style they had with Coco..but i am glad....well thats as good as i can analize maybe Profe Patricio Hernandez will elaborate on it on codico f.

Re: River Plate vs. Boca Juniors - Fecha 10 (R) i saw him do the same amount of damage on the left side on the second side. one of the few times taht tycsports facundo fuks and i agree. he actually said that gago apart from the pass that palacio did a great job to score, didnt do such a good job. good game by pipita and magnificent game by belluschi, and i loved the craziness of tuzzio. cata diaz shoulld have been red carded as well. other than that i see a tie for boca next week and thats when the tournie gets red hot.
