Re: River Plate: News & comments Bilardo? He probably did say that, cause knowing Bilardos style one would know this.Him ,reffering to Carlos Salvador Bilardo is to me one if not the most defensive coach that i've seen, and yeah Farias was Estudiantes goal scorer and all but thats what is expected from him he is after all Estudiantes center forward.Especially playing for a small team he is going to be more noticed cause teams like Estudiantes doesnt really have any players that stick out. If he does come to River or whatever I will support him and all like I do with all players that wear Rivers jersey with the exception of Walter Silvani back in the early 90s.But im not to thrilled of having him,hes just gonna have to prove himself he can play with the big boys.
Re: River Plate: News & comments As in what? What player River should bring in to fill the 9 position? In that case River should go after Lisandro Lopez of Racing, but after the good tournaments he has had I know Racing will ask a fortune for him. Alot might think im crazy but ive always dreamed of having Gabriel Amato back in River sometime after he left to Europe,I dont know if some of you remember him.He played in Gimnasia, boca,Independiente,Huracan, then in River where he played his best out of the teams he played for in Argentina. Now hes in Banfield and if im not mistaken I think San Lorenzo is real close in signning him.The guy is tall and a physical player with alot of expierence, I think he would fit pefect in the attack with Maxi Lopez or with La Gata Fernandez, cant really rely to much on Salas which I hope with this time off he gets in fit and healthy. We will just have to wait and see whats the outcome. RIver has to go after the Libertadores...1st priority.
Re: River Plate: News & comments And Ortega didnt do squat in Valencia, nor Parma, nor any where inEurope for that matter. But he(Amato) did well in River and I wouldnt mind having him back.Just my $.02

Re: River Plate: News & comments that line up is very young will that be ideal to face 2 tournaments? they sold 6 or 7 starters, and you guys are talking copa libertadores? I do not see how, lacks experience IMHO.
Re: River Plate: News & comments the line up that played yesterday against Independiente is an alternative team, the actual team has a lot of players will experience. Ex. Federico Dominguez, Ameli, Tuzzio, Rojas, Mascherano, Gallardo, Farias(if everything gets sorted out with his transfer)
Re: River Plate: News & comments Saturn, Don't forget about Lucho, "El Matador" Salas, and Patino. You have 3 current internationals right there. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.........if you look at it right here, I wonder if Leo could use these ten on the pitch in the Copa.

Re: River Plate: News & comments I haven't really followed Argentine futbol, but I do always try to watch River vs Boca!!!!! I find myself starting to like River Plate, maybe I can adopt them as my AFA club!!!! AGUANTA RIVER!!!!!
Re: River Plate: News & comments Well, we deserved more, and hopefully we'll get it next week. Baiano has to be the worst player I've seen at Boca in a while, and I'm happy. El Pato kept them in the game.
Re: River Plate: News & comments You know....maybe it's the alcohol... or maybe it's because I like River over boca, but I think that although the score didn't reflect it, River clearly dominated this match!! I can't wait till next week!!!!! AGUANTA RIVER!!!!!!
