LOL.. They're trying to dry the field with those windblowing machines they use to clear the confetti off the field. Hopefully the game still goes on and is not affected too much by the shitty field.
A deserved win. Despite the awful pitch, We were very solid in the back, dangerous on the counterattack and we were only beating by a ridiculous shot from Roman.
Lanzini with two goals in La Bombonera... Grande pibe!!! And cavenaghi has never lost a league match there... 3-0, 2-2, 1-0, 2-1 Vamos todavía!!!
What a game guys!!! I'm very proud, it was a real war! I'm so happy to born a River fan! Vamos los Millionarios!
Congrats to RiverG, Loco,Steazy & the rest of you. Been TOO long since the last real win. And ... My apologies for the inevitable return to Earth with a thud on Wednesday .... Until then, and thereafter, hope you all Savor the Flavor of this one...
Thank you... I always look at Newell's as a great rival. A game where both teams play to win... Something you can't say about two teams that play in yellow and blue in both of our cities Also... It will be be a joy for us River fans to be able to see el Rey David en su casa... Ole ole ole ole ole ... David David
What can we say about Ledesma? In my opinion, one of the best players vs. Boca today and in the whole tournament in general. Who would have thought that he'd continue being so important at 35? If he continues like this, it would be ridiculous to not renew his contract for another year.
Ledesma played maybe his best match ever in a River shirt today... He was everywhere. He completely shut down Gago, a guy who is supposed to be starter for Argentina in South Africa I would definitely renew him for one more season- provided he wants to and continues playing well. For all we know, he may want to retire on a high not and not stick around too long The other good news was that Barovero returned to be Barovero after a pretty awful tournament up until now. If we are going to fight for the title until the end, we will need him at his best each game. No more games like the disaster he had against All Boys (and btw- Sabella was at the stadium... Does he really think Orion, completely at fault for our winner, is better than Barovero? Orion has a history of high profile errors, just remember Ponzio's free kick in el Monuemtnal and various others he's let in) Overall it was a pleasing performance, but we can't celebrate too much, huge game against Newell's at home on Wednesday... Let's hope all the starters are in condition to play
Players' celebration in the locker room: Fans receiving the team on the way back from la bombonera: Now to concentrate on tomorrow's important game vs. Newell's. VAMOS RIVER!
Copa Sudamericana Standings... Next two games against Belgrano and Rafaela are huge in this table. Also worth noting that Godoy Cruz will be kicked out if they go to the B (much like what happened with river in 2011)
It's good to see Balanta regain some badass defensive form but other than the Carbonero goal, our offense once again lacks finishing. Perhaps it's because it is a midweek game against a tough rival but Newell's seems to be struggling this tournament. I don't see us winning away at Belgrano against a team that parks the bus. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Lanus beat Colón, Vélez lost the game againist Racing, so if we win today, we will be in the first place!!! We are in a roll, we must win! !!! Vamos los Millionarios !!!
So last night we got help from the most unlikely of sources. First the evil twins as Lanus beat Colon, and then the muertos from Racing some how beat Velez 1-0 with a late goal... So if we win, we will be alone on top. Today is the biggest game of the season Vamos River! Para ser campeón hoy hay que ganar!!!!!
F*cking Hungary... Here we can watch Scottish league, Brazilian league, France 2. (!!) division, Japan (!!!) league matches, but Argentina league matches we can't... 5 years ago there was Argentin league broadcast, but nowadays doesn't... In turn I think this league is so excellent with wonderful athmosphere, good games... Fortunately there is Internet There is a hungarian commentator:
