    My 11 based on the above roster:
    Chichizola;
    Abecasis-Pezzella-Gonzalez Pirez-Martinez;
    Ponzio-Ledesma-Aguirre;
    Chori Dominguez;
    Funes Mori-Villalva;

    Not my favorite player, but it would have been the perfect time to use Affranchino as an alternative for the right wing.. too bad he's on loan.

    Oh, well those were just the eleven I would like to see.

    So the line-up is already confirmed? If so, why is Aguirre, arguably one of the most regular subs, not playing? :confused:

    El ciclón are not a good team. On top of that I think they'll play their reserves as well seeing as staying out of relegation is more important to them.

    Relax, no need to get ahead of yourself. I think our subs are more than capable of defeating San Lorenzo's best players, and as DaDroopDogg said we'll have to see if CASLA even uses their starters or not.

    I personally am looking forward to the game. The thing I like about the Copa Argentina is that we always get to see the talented pibes that Almeyda doesn't regularly play, as well as those who deserve more chances (VILLALVA!) but for whatever reason don't receive them.

    This is why almeyda should have brought trezeguet and/or Cavegol at least to come off the bench... Knowing my luck fm9 will score any minute, but through 35 minutes he's been useless. H can't stay on his feet even when no defender is near him

    I agree with you. Besides, I would have brought Cavegol so he could score a goal or two and get back into rhythm.

    I'm hoping to see Vila and Cazares in the second half.

    Cazares needs to get stronger. I will say that for him.

    In all honestly, that may have been the easiest game of the year. CASLA created 1 chance in 90 min and if Rogelio could learn how to shoot it could have been 3 or 4 or even 5...

    I liked chichi alot... Ledesma looked very good for the first time since his return... Keko is crying for more minutes in the torneo

    Yeah San Lorenzo was clown college. Chichizola played well, Villalva looked like a boyish man among boys. I was kind of distracted so I dont have as much comments as on other games. Nice to see a win though.

    It's a great win from our reserves. Great to see Keko as always. If we win this Copa we'll be seeing more of him in the copa sudamericana.

    Good to win,good to be in the semi finals,good to.put that excuse for a man in his place,great to see the reserves get their chance before a big crowd and perform.
    Chichizola,Abecasis,Ledesma and Villalva showed they are ready when needed.I have to say I like Funes Mori despite his poor rate of finishing.He has everything to be a top class delantero and when he relaxes alittle he will be a top class player.He makes great moves and is a serious handful for any defense.
    But this is a nice distraction right now all that really matters is three points at the weekend

    I just turned on the game and Guillermo Brown is up 1-0. What's going on? Is River playing like shit or was it just the typical one shot-one goal bs?

    Not the right game to lose points, it was the easiest one of the matches left.

    Now if Instituto and Quilmes win this round, the standing will look like this:

    1. Rosario Central: 68
    2. River: 66
    3. Instituto: 66
    4. Quilmes: 64

    Extremely tight situation with only four games left. I don't think any of us were expecting to suffer THIS much.

    we still are well in control of our own fate but that was un-********ing-believable........gotta have those 3 points

    fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccc....kkkkkkkk

    I cant even complain all that much. I though Almeyda did well with the subs, I thought alot of guys played well. Defensive lapses are just something Ive become used to

    Why could we not close a game out against a team at the bottom of the B for Fsake .Is it the tecnico?Is it the president? Lets be honest these pelotudos de mierda son los responsables.

    Last night was a disaster. I was at the match last night and most people have the same feeling of impending doom as last year.

    The defense is a mess. Vega is a trainwreck. If the ball is on target, its a goal. Neither goal was his fault, but a goalie needs to save the team, thats why he is there. Obviously the fault lies at the feet of Pa$$arella, almeyda, and all the players... but I really am angry about Vega. He hasn't helped the team once since he returned to be a starter. Yesterday he NEEED to either close down the angle or stay on his line in the end he did neither... and we lost because of it.

    What are we going to do with the defense? Maidana is a shadow of the player who arrived in the 2010 apertura... Diaz continues to be terrible.

    I will not tolerate another season in the B. I have had a hard enough time this year, but with 4 rounds left I never imagined we wouldn't already be ascended. What is going on??? Why are players like Vella playing if they will only be subbed off EVERY match. WHy is VEGA on the team 3 years later? What happened to Maidana? What the hell is Chori's problem?

    Jesus this is bleak gentleman. Its very bleak

    Dude, you seem to really hate Vega. He has actually earned us points this season, and certainly hasn't lost us any in the ridiculous fashion Carrizo managed in his last season here, and even Chichizola cost us matches/points. He's unremarkable, but sometimes that's the price you pay for "safe".

    And for ********'s sake stop with this anti-Passarella bullshit. Who would you prefer, Passarella or another Aguilar? Do you think an Aguilar clone would have brought in guys like Ponzio or Trezeguet? Do you think Pezella and Gonzalez Pires would have gotten the long term deals they got under him, or even still belong 100% to the club?

    The only thing I agree with you on is that Almeyda is not the right man for this job. If we don't finish first, he needs to resign. If we don't get promoted directly, he needs to be sacked. If we don't get promoted at all, Passarella should go with him.

    Well only 7% of river fans who voted on LPM boards think Vega should keep being the starter... I am not alone. The guy is terrible and he never earned a starting position with River and has never done anything to help the club in any way that i remember. He is rumored to go to Estudiantes Tecos, recently descended in Mexico. The 2nd division in mexico may even be too high a standard for him... just like the B here is. I would be curious to know what his save % is... IE number of shots on target vs. number of goals. I have a feeling its under 50%... He let in 2 goals each of the past two week and didn't make a save in either game... so he's 0 for his last 4... If Castillos takes a shot on goal this week, do you think Vega can save it? I honestly think a scarecrow could be more useful

    Here are some quotes of other River fans about Vega:

    "vega ni de suplente!!
    muerto de mierda!"

    "A Vega hay que sacrificarlo."

    "A Vega hay que matarlo y venderle los organos y con esa guita traemos a Saja o Andujar."

    "uno de los peores arqueros que vi en river, prefiero mil veces a chichizola aunque me gustaria que traigan uno en junio"

    "lo de vega es muy flojo!! no te salva 1, fijate que en los 2 goles se queda a mitad de camino en el primero si lo atora le gana al jugador y en el 2do creo que tambien es muy tibio este muchacho muy tibio."

    "es un moco este chabon no sirve para nada. sin dudas hayqe cambiarlo cuanto antes."

    "esta robando en river hace 5 años no puede ser ensima que alla gente QUE LO APLAUDE ME ATREVO A DECIR QUE EL SABADO LO APLAUDIERON TODOS a este muerto de hambreee hijo de puta que me cago la semana"

    "el error de Vega es claro
    NACER"

    I dont get why you think my opinions are so extreme... Most River fans hate vega with a passion and rightfully so.

    I don't make my opinions just to follow others... I watch the games and I see a goalie who is not capable of saving any shot that has any velocity or of commanding his area, yet is playing without any explanation from the manager as to why... That is why i hate him.

    Chichizola has made some errors, but he is a great shot stopper... I'd prefer a goalie who makes one or two bone headed plays but also makes spectacular ones than Vega who also makes bone headed plays but can't atone for his mistakes because he has no hands

    Heres good analysis a river fan made of vega

    http://foros.riverplate.com/campo-de-juego/155352-analisis-de-errores-de-vega.html

    Remember, he only played half the season and half the time he literally has had nothing to do. Ferro, Merlo, Huracan, Independiente Rivadavia, Gimnasia de Jujuy... these teams didn't attack

    Its no surprise the team has really slipped off this half of the season... Chichizola wasn't perfect, neither was Carrizo, but with Vega in the goal any time the team has the ball in our half its a very good chance they will score

    The only thing we must do now is concentrate on the three points in Rosario something that is going to be very dificult against a team on a serious run.Almeyda must ensure the defence is tighthenen up before Sunday.I would start Gonzalez Pires instead of Diaz.I know it isnt his natural position but Diaz is terrible.Hopefully Maestrico will be fit as his expewrience will be essential in a cauldro where we struggle to win in our glorious days.
    This is the final if we win I dont think anything will stop us going up.
    A pesar de todo VAMOS RIVER CARAJO
