Let's be honest, though.. it was well deserved. River was knocking on the door the whole second half, while Tigre only had one chance the entire match.

I love el Chino. He's gotta lose some weight, but what a player.

Also a class act for not celebrating. I wish Orban and Galmarini would have done the same...

    Y ahora Itrube! GOLAZOOOOO!

Iturbe is shutting a lot of mouths, including mine. He's shown tremendous pace and shot precision. If he continues like this he'll be a great player.

SupaMario- you're the man. I haven't been a Tigre fan, mainly because of a few people I knew when I was younger, but you know what... I hope you guys do well in the Copa Libertadores. I'll be rooting for you guys to get out of the group.

I'd wish you luck in the torneo local too, but I think we know who's going to win it... SALE RIVER SALE RIVER SI SENOR

I guarantee you this game would have been lost under Almeyda, JJ, Cappa, or any of our other recent coaches.

Agreed...I have to say it, while this team still has work to do I was completely wrong about Ramón. Whatever flaws he might have as a coach, this team looks like River Plate again.

Ramon is River Plate. He's like Ortega. Never works outside our club, but with our club, he is a god. Just like Ortega and also Cavenaghi. I don't care what those people do outside, but when they're with River, they don't stop giving us victories

This is the greatest club in the world, and thank god we are fans of River. What a ********ing game

Good game, and thanks for the words. And I know what you mean about fans getting you upset. My cousins who are canalla(A club that my father and uncles support) got me quite upset when Tigre started to do a bit well a few years back and they started to bug me with the hate, and I said, forget it, hope you crash and burn(but secretly always kept my eye on them). At the end of the day, I am not Boca and you are not Chaca, some of my good friends who live in Argentina, who I consider brothers support River.

Lanzini out for three weeks due to injury.

This is good, in a way, because it will obligate Ramon to try a different 11 (Iturbe? M. Diaz?), hopefully generating a more attractive display of football.

However, I feel bad for Manu and personally think he can contribute something (maybe coming in from the bench). When he first started, everyone overhyped him and made him out the be the superstar that he never was. Now it's the opposite: people act like he is useless, when he really has the potential to be beneficial to the team.

Let's see if whoever replaces him is able to take more of an advantage of the opportunity. In a way it reminds me of last season: Lanzini started the first couple of games and then was dropped by Almeyda. If Iturbe (assuming he take the spot) repeats Sunday's performance, I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happens this time around.

at this point I agree that I think he will get lost in the rotation. Due to no fault of his own its just kinda overcrowded. Its a nice insurance to know if any injuries come about down the road theres a player of that caliber in the wings

on the topic of Iturbe I really want to see more of him, but I think hes such a good asset fresh coming off the bench later in games that Im not completely loving the idea of him starting just yet.
