    One of the fist players Ramon needs to "borrar" is Ariel Rojas. Terrible, terrible player. Every game he's played he been awful and today is no different. I won't forget his miss against all boys either

    A good win with crowd really behind the team and Ramon in the stadium.

    Barovero played a great game, had 2 notable saves one against Valeri and he pushed header over. The main reason I have such a bitter taste in my mouth about Almeyda is how many points he cost us by playing vega. (5 points)

    Abacsis was good, another knock against almeyda. This position should be his, Mercado should play in the center until Pezzella recovers. I'd prefer Gonzalez Pirez to be far from the field

    Sanchez was very active as usual, and actually put in some much better crosses today.

    Mora was a terror for them. he really embarrassed vizcarrondo a few times. Perfect bullet header for the goal. If we can get some top reinforcements to him to link with, he could explode in the clausura

    funes mori caused problems for Lanus... but was caught off sides 4 times and missed numerous chances. we need to sell him before his value goes to negative figures. 540 minutes without a goal or assist

    Probably the most interesting thing about today waswhen un equipo como Lanus quiere jugar igual a igual River siempre va a ganar
    Tres puntos vamos a ver si podemos mejorar en el futuro

    Ramón is considering Gonzalez Pires to accompany Bottinelli. What is this kid doing in training that just isn't showing on the field?

    I mean he was pretty highly regarded coming up, but damn he has been in such terrible form. He just gets beat so often. He must overthink things out there and really be pressing because instinctually he is piss poor more often than not

    Finally! Arano, Vella, Rios and Vega were told to find a new club by Ramon! If Almeyda were still DT, they'd probably be playing half of 2013 just because they stuck around in la b. :rolleyes:

    Anyway, finally the good news we've all been waiting to hear for a couple years now. As much as Vega might have cost us points, I wish him the best of luck because he really does love the club and always gave his all. Besides, I remember him having good phases here and there. As for the other 3, I can't really find anything half-nice to say.

    For 57 minutes it was probably the worst performance of the campeonato.For the last 25 one of the most comfortable wins.Lanzini until his golazo simply awful after it exquisite.A beauty from Sanchez wraps it up and Gonzalez Pires and Rojas even look the part.Not so the two attacantes who were terrible from start to finish

    Who do you guys want to see starting vs Belgrano on Sunday?

    I'd like to see Lanzini over Mauro Diaz to be honest. I think Manu has more ability to create something special, though he can be a bit selfish. I think Mauro has a tendency to disappear in games

    I'd like to see both Vangioni and Rojas playing. Ramon apparently likes this idea too, with Rojas sliding inside along Ponzio as a double 5. I'm not a big Rojas fan, but he was great this summer and Ledesma can't play top level football anymore and Cirigliano's form has been off for the past 6 months

    Up front, I think David should get the nod over Funes Bobi. David still doesn't look at his best level of the nacional b, but funes Mori is hopeless IMO. Lets not forget that in addition to not being able to score against boca, he has gone over 650 minutes with out scoring in official games as well

    Barovero,
    Mercado,Roman,Bottinelli;
    Sanchez,Ponzio,Rojas,Vangioni;
    Mauro;
    Funes Mori,Mora

    I have always had a little soft spot for Rojas who was terrific in Godoy Cruz so I would just give him the edge over Ciri.But these first three or four games are his chance perform or out.
    Lanzini for me has been a huge dissapointment lots of talent but little intelligence.Diaz does dissapear.However I think he has more intelligence than Lanzini. Despite the newspapers I suspect Ramon will give Diaz his chance.
    Everbody hates the Mellizo who has had so many chances but Trezeguet I dont think is fit for ninety minutes and Luna should have been offloaded to Sarmiento Junin or some such club.among the mellizos problems are his family who appear to be all Boludos which isnt helping at all.

    Unfortunately, it looks like Iturbe won't be able to go to the bench due to the fact that the insurance policy Porto is demanding isn't ready yet:

    http://www.riverplate.com/Noticias/...urbe-no-juega-ante-belgrano-torneo-final.html

    I don't know who is at fault here, Porto or our directors, but we've been negotiating for this kid since before the new year, and we're in February and he can't play, which is inexcusable- regardless of where the fault lies.

    Without Keko and Cazares, we won't have many options on the bench to run at the defense, so having Iturbe would have been really important for this match to change the pace, especially considering the anti-futbol belgrano is famous for

    Belgrano equipito chico... Jugando con uno mas x 45 minutos y tirandose atras. Que asco que me das Zielisnki

    I loved Vangioni. There's nothing the kid can't do. What a goal, and he was everywhere in defense

    Very stupid of Ponzio. He could have really cost us. His absence will be big next week.

    Very smart game from Trezeguet, who got know service, but as always has a high futbol IQ. Great lay-off to Vangioni on his goal and opened the field every time Belgrano's anti-futbol called for it.

    Great changes by Ramon. He is the ultimate man manager, and to today he got the subs down perfectly. That is how you kill off a game. You put in fresh forwards. Almeyda would have put on an extra defender and 5, JJ would have brought on Chichizola to play with to goalies.

    Great to see Luna get a goal. If we get the Luna of Tigre, we are going to be dangerous

    Game, blouses! I have a lot to say but when I have time ill give my full thoughts. It's 3 points which is what really matters. Roman was a rock in the middle and Vangioni was great. Sanchez looked like he was on drugs.

    Iturbe's trsnfer from Porto finally arrived, so he can go to the bench on Sunday vs. Estudiantes. Will be interesting to see who Ramon leaves out if.

    Cirigliano also looks like he will be Ponzio's replacement, but we'll have to wait for Ramon to confirm the team before we can be 100% sure who will play

    I like the thought of Iturbe off the bench, thats a quality addition toan already seemingly quality team. He may still have a way to go but he offers serious speed off the bench and isnt named Funes Mori. Id guess that either Luna or Funes Mori will be dropped, id asusme Funes Mori by now.

    also Ciriglianos probably the best choice, Ledesma makes me nervous still even though he played a hell of a game last weekend.
