I think he fell between the chairs, Batista played a 4-3-3 which is not Pastore's most suitable Formation, despite that when Batista gave him a chance against Japan, Brazil and Uruguay he was good and you saw the diffrence when he came in as a sub.

I think that when Sabella will send Sosa to the bench we might see him.

Or someone. There is a serious black cloud hanging over Ezeiza, something is just not working right. We were in first place in June of 2008, now 3 years later, with the same or even better players we can't make heads or tails of this team? It doesn't add up.

It's either someone who doesn't jive with the team, or some different methodology thats being employed but it's definitely had a severe impact on how our team plays and how our coaches think.

Tabarez has taken Uruguay to the semifinals of the World Cup in 2010 and the won the Copa America 2011 with one simple premise: COPY WHAT ARGENTINA HAS DONE.

That was his response, when he was questioned about Uruguay's recent success. So clearly our methodolgies work, just that some factor is causing us severe pains at present.

During the late 80's thru the mid 00's, the Uruguayan futbol scene was rocked. Great players but the NT was just shit. They just couldn't get anything working well. And who was the main artifice behind his decline? Yup, the great player agent saprophite, Paco Casal. He basically destroyed Uruguayan futbol for 20 years. Now he's set his sight on Argentine futbol and apparently Grondona is working with him.

Maybe he needs two in the back as well.
