Fast translation to English: US authorities have blocked access to Rojadirecta.org but we continue and we will continue our service on other domain names such as Rojadirecta.com (.me, .es, .in...). US authorities have blocked this way a domain trying to block the access to a web site which has been already judged by two different courts in Madrid and in our opinion completely despising the Spanish justice and sovereignty. A very long judicial process (more than 3 years) where have worked the Spanish police, the Spanish Attorney General's Office and the Spanish justice, ALL of them defending or deciding the legality of the site. By closing rojadirecta.org this way, the domain dot org number 70 more visited in the world, show to any country in the World the lack of control over the generic domain names (.com, .org, .net, etc.) which are controlled by American companies and which the US authorities are censoring from the last months as they want without a legal process with the chance to defense yourself. Obviously we are already seeking legal advice and we will do the same in the US at the beginning of the day.

We are now on: www.rojadirecta.com www.rojadirecta.me www.rojadirecta.es www.rojadirecta.in and in many other domains that are not controlled by US authorities.

“The illegal streaming of professional sporting events over the Internet deals a financial body blow to the leagues and broadcasters, who are forced to pass their losses off to fans by raising prices for tickets and pay-per-view events,” said Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney in Manhattan. “With the Super Bowl just days away, the seizures of these infringing websites reaffirm our commitment to working with our law enforcement partners to protect copyrighted material and put the people who steal it out of business.”

THat shit doesnt even make sense. Because in the NFL streams, we are still seeing the commercials, and more people that wouldnt have access to certain NFL games (and wouldnt watch whats on tv) gets viewers that nfl wouldnt originally have.

There's not a chance in hell I'd pay to watch international football when I'm already paying an obscene amount for cable in the US (just to watch sports). Either I stream matches, or don't watch them at all. They're not getting money regardless.

Thank you Mexico Bigsoccer Forum. Was wanting to see some online footy. And was shocked (but not surpised) to see something like this happen.

You think the NFL' people are behind this. You have no idea how MLB' people are. Those guys are blood sucking vultures. Be glad you don't have to deal with them (as a fan, player, media person, etc.) I heard they wanted to charge a cable access show $5,000 for a year for showing highlights / showing jerseys on a wall. For a couple of grandpa types who just wanted to talk about the ball and stick game.

Then again, if you have a monopoly on "the national pastime" moniker in the richest country on earth, I guess anyone would be scrooges as well. Thanks for the links. One of the rojadriecta ones is working.
