Hello everybody, I've just joined the forum cause I'd like to understand what's Cruzado best position in the midfield.
I watched him at the stadium, then in TV the last two Chievo winning matches.
Chievo plays 4-3-1-2 and he played as the 1, that is attacking midfielder.
I think he's can't play in that position, he's quite slow to do that.
I appreciated his long passing skills, so I think he should play behind.
Problem is, I am afraid he lacks the defensive skills to play behind. He's not aggressive at all, and lacks height and force to do that.
    Am I wrong ?

He is actually a combination of central and defensive midfielder... As you stated, he is too slow to be attacking and he is not too aggressive as defensive midfielder..

The thing about Cruzado, he gets away with being skillful enough and being able to find his man with long shots.

He is not doing too bad in Serie A though.

Hopefully, he will learn a few things about Catenaccio while in Italy.

I don't think he's ever played as a #10 or trequartista. His best position is as a second holding mid or the furthermost left mid in a 4-3-1-2.

The physical aspect can develop slowly as he adapts to the league.

I saw him play the first 20 mins of last match. I was confused as he had said he felt much better in this match and even the press, according to our 'media', had spoken well about him. I was unimpressed, saw him slow, lose simple balls and I almost got the sense that his teammates did not want him to pass the ball because of fright he might lose the ball. And worst than everything I was 90% sure that it was him who lost a stupid ball that led to Palacio's goal. Can anyone correct me on this? The coach (a little bald guy who seems to be very passionate about everything) exploded angrily after they received the goal as if he had decided to never let the guy who made the mistake play again. And to top it all off the guy who replaced him turned out to be the best player (although I think this guy is an striker so there might not be any risk of him losing his place).

He must have impressed in the rest of the match though because the press DID rate him positively to my surprise. I guess that's all that matters.

Watched his match yesterday (played 30 mins). Although not an excellent performance he did well, was the most offensive player in the ST. Created some chances. Chievo certainly improved with his presence.
