Anyone know why Jona is not playing in the Toulon tournament and getting familiar with the team?

Gio is still eligible to play without being considered an overage player correct?

Goal keeper situation is strange, Aguirre really messed us up in the 2010 wc.
Ochoa has no in game experience in the world cup neither does Corona.
Corona looked great today, maybe he should be given a chance at the Olympics.
And see how he does...and give Ochoa a chance in confed 2013....
    It's a real strange situation.

so if the media outlets reporting the 3 refuerzos (corona, salcido, oribe) r correct (and mediotiempo reports israel jimenez is on the list and pulido is not), that leaves 12spots open (most likely from toulon roster) + israel jimenez, jona and giovani

so with approx a month away from the list being released heres my roster for the olys 2.0 (wit my first one being quoted)

    gk: Corona, Rodriguez

d: Jimenez, Mier, Reyes, Chavez, Vidro, Salcido

    m: Jona, Herrera, Chaton

f: Fabian, Jimenez (raul), Peralta, Giovani, Ponce, Aquino, Davila

What? Israel Jimenez is 22 and will still be 22 by the time the Olympics roll around.

I honestly hope Tigres facked up or got ahead of themselves because although I like Salcido, he isn't the right refuerzo. We NEED a center back.

I don't understand why people keep including Davila on their rosters.Has he really done anything to deserve a spot over one of the guys that helped the team qualify/win at Toulon? Also, what makes you think Tena and co are even considering him? Honest questions.

Well considering our wing options are very limited, I'd like to think Davila, a very versatile player, should be called up. Reports indicate that he has been doing a great job in the reserves for Vitesse and I'm sure his overall game has improved playing consistently in Europe. Our wing options again are limited. After Gio and Aquino, no one else has proven to be good enough. Even Aquino, who I personally like gets a shit load of hate.

Man this argument again. Talent over anything else. Davila has proven himself to be one of the most dynamic attacking options in this age bracket. Not including him would be a mistake, we could use a player like him in games like vs France, where they just clogged up the middle and we had very few who could create their own space.

Kid was also a part of the u23 warms up, until he officially went to Europe. So its not like he's an unknown commodity to Tena.
